All of those who say Mustafi is sh17e. No s***? Of course he is. And that is precisely why he is being touted as an option. Why would any rival sell a cb who’s any good to us at this stage? Mustafi is still much better than Phillips and Williams who are probably Championship standard. Mustafi is a bit like Luiz. s*** compared to the level he’s playing at (top of the prem, European competition etc.) but still a couple of levels above the Championship. Also, I’m stunned we can’t find a stop gap say from Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A or even La Liga.
