Agreed. It's quite funny reading all the comments about how Aragones was wrong to take off Torres, and how it's unbelievable he doesn't play Xabi more or that he should've brought Pepe on for the penalty shootout It's not like people are biased or anything...

The one player from the Russians I'd really like us to sign would be Zhirkov (sp?). Now there is a capable left back, who apparently plays attacking midfield for his club. Reminds me a lot of Zambrotta about 5 years ago (i.e. when he was probably the best fullback in the business).

I personally think that people are exaggerating Xabi's performance in that Arsenal game. For me he didn't play especially well at all then, just like most of last season, especially after his injury. Still happy for him to stay and play like yesterday by all means

The way Xabi played yesterday brought back some nice memories. I had actually forgotten that he can play like that, it's been a while... Now, if he could play like THAT consistently, we should do everything to keep him. The last 2 years say that he can't do that in England though.
