We will always be dangerous with Suarez and Sturrdige but the rest of the team could clearly be improved, whether it's tactically or by replacing players. Otherwise, yeah, I mean it worked for last year's champions. Feed the flat track bully, worry about signing a centre mid some other time.

Cavan as a county is impossible to get around, the roads are woeful, but Cavan town itself isn't so bad... it's got a cinema, a pool, a bowling alley, some decent pubs, a nice park, it's fairly small and the rents aren't too high. I'm in Carrickmacross for another 10 weeks or so and it's a bigger town with nothing but pubs and bookies, proper dump. I was reading a book in a pub recently and I was really hoping the guy who asked me "Why are you reading?" was just misquoting Bill Hicks.

In ice hockey they give an assist to the last two players who even touched the puck before a goal is scored. Even if the goalie makes a save and someone scores off the rebound. They also don't give an assist to the goal scorer in any circumstance.

Echo. Been getting then over the last few months but he's really turned it around. Showing great determination, working hard for the team, I guess being told you're going to get sold and then having competition for your place brought in is good motivation.

I agree, Wisdom and Agger had a lot of the ball in the first half but other had no options other than to keep bringing it forward and eventually take the sideways pass. Agger took on that shot out of a lack of movement, Wisdom tried a risky through ball that was intercepted and led to a dangerous counter attack, we need more movement from the midfield and the full (wing) backs. We had all the possession in the world the first half but it was all in the area between our box and just past halfway.

I know Agger's great at bringing the ball out, so this is mitigated, but 3 at the back is basically crap. You have 3 centre-halves all marking one lad, since most teams in the league only play one forward, and Newcastle are one of them. That means there's 2 lads waiting to pick up second balls and runners, which is fine if you want to spend the whole game defending. You end up with your free man being at the back. I want our Gerrard to the free man, preferable standing on the edge of their box/their keeper's face.
