  1. Slovenian team with a pretty stadium. Chelsea had them recently.http://footballtripper.com/stadion-ljudski-vrt-maribor-slovenia/
  2. Chelsea and Spurs got serious draws, hopefully it distracts them from the league a bit
  3. Beauty!

    Defence

That's a very good summary, but for the one conceded from the throw in we had 9 players back. There was no organisation and no midfielder picking up runs. That goal doesn't happen if you have a commanding centre half or defensive midfielder who has a head on them, it wouldn't be happening either.
  5. Is that story about the ambassador role confirmed? Regardless, FFP, like actual transfers takes place over time and not at the time of sale. PSG therefore have something like 5 years revenue in the future to justify their overall spend, and the only punishment available is suspension from Europe. Nothing retroactive.
  6. That's good, he barely played there
  7. What's the craic with Allan?
  8. Is it though? The squad was threadbare from January on, and we've added important games this season.
  9. A great pro and but for those two major injuries, he'd probably be staying. Sad to see him go, but it's probably the best for all parties.
  10. That's interesting, clearly CPI isn't a good measure of what's going on in football transfers. The game is just awash with so much more money that a simple inflation method isn't a fair comparison.
  11. What kind of methodology did that use? This list is just based on inflation, and it's in euros, but it's no where near that 2002 fee: €44.8m Adjusted fee: €54.3m http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2346878-100-biggest-transfer-fees-of-all-time-adjusted-for-inflation
  12. He's also dead good at bringing the ball forward. Between VVD and Matip it would mean you couldn't just try and shut us down by sitting on Henderson or Can.
  13. Reportedly a 4 year deal
  14. How about his teammate Forsberg? Weren't we linked to him last summer? He's got 19 league assists this year and plays wide-left
  15. Aulas has said Lacazette is going to Atleti. That's to replace Griezmann who will go to the Mancs if they win the Europa. What's the gossip on the other two?
  16. Firmino is Tevez and Mane Ronaldo, allegorically. Who is the signing?
  17. Great to hear a long interview with Lucas, I've always liked him. He's got a good perspective https://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2017/05/lucas-leiva-interview-listen-free/
  18. Doesn't help that Forster has forgot he has hands this season http://www.squawka.com/comparison-matrix#premier_league/2016/2017/fraser_forster/641/641/9318/0/p|premier_league/2016/2017/simon_mignolet/641/641/790/36/p|premier_league/2016/2017/david_de_gea/641/641/590/0/p|premier_league/2016/2017/thibaut_courtois/641/641/1558/0/p|premier_league/2016/2017/hugo_lloris/641/641/107/0/p#goals_conceded/saves/saves_per_goal/catches#total
  19. We almost signed Ronaldo, Vidic, Dani Alves and I'm sure some others Didn't Kenny nearly get Gotze and Rodgers activate Diego Costa's clause? If we won't/can't spend at the top, it's clear we need to be competing with Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, and the likes for the players destined for the top
  20. Should that be two pennos?
  21. Firmino and Origi seemed to mostly play centrally against United. More of a diamond than a 4-3-3, at least until Coutinho came on. Firmino played well but Origi didn't. It might work with Henderson sitting, Gini and Lallana ahead of him, Coutinho at the tip but switching to the left with Lallana and Firmino partnered by either Origi or Sturridge
  22. Van Dijk has been subbed off for an injury to his ankle. He walked off of his accord, so will likely be fit.
  23. Wrestling move from Pogba there
  24. Only way we look like scoring from a corner
