I think the idea is Thuram/Kone as a 6/8 left option, Szoboszlai/Veiga as the 8 right and Lavia/Gravenberch as the 6 understudy to Fabinho.

It was fairly common knowledge that Diaz would be signing for Liverpool this summer; the only development in January was that of Spurs's interest which rather forced our hand hence why Diaz was signed at the very end of the January window.

We need to sign a forward who can play on the right to re-balance our attacking options. Currently both Diaz and Jota play on the left, Firmino and Carvalho in the middle with only Salah as first-team options for the right.

I think the squad needs four positions filled next summer: back-up right-back - probably Bradley, back-up 6, starting right-sided 8 & left-forward option. I think Aurélien Tchouaméni & Christopher Nkunku would be suitable profile players for the 8 & LW.

What is the going rate? We are now in a market in which, aside from state-owned clubs, there are very few options for a player looking to leave a leading club for one in which he will compete for trophies and be paid more. Look at Messi & Ronaldo in the summer, Lewa's contract position and Sterling's manoeuvres.
