Bloody hell "When we decided to sign him, I was thinking it might be the last month of the season before he's completely match fit." Rafa must really rate Robbie to sign him whilst feeling that !!
-
He bloody did, he left because they weren't giving him the tools to do his job so he went somewhere where they would. What else is that if not leaving to benefit your career.

I reckon Rafa will want to suss out the new incumbent before jumping ship mid sail. He's building something great here, I reckon he will want to see that another 3 years down the line before going to Madrid. The only way Rafa wont attract Madrid is if he wins nothing in the next three years for Liverpool, he's already proved that he's building something special so I don't think the Madrid option will go away. I'd bet my mortgage on Rafa being the Real Madrid manager this decade however.

Chelsea losing a game of football is never ever a shame. I hate what they have done to football and I never ever want Abramovich to get his hands on the European Cup. Barca are in a position to knock Chelsea out so I hope they do. Whether Chelsea would be easier than Barca is a moot point as we have yet to beat Benfica ourselves. If Chelsea beat Barca they could well win the cup. That cannot happen so I want Barca to win.

Not really when he has the ability to, at the moment of impact, put the ball wherever he likes and very few other people can do that. Would Michael Johnson teach budding sprinters to mimic his style ?

i was as doubtful as anyone, but. . .

Thwack, anyone who can't see that Gerrard stayed on the pitch because we threw away the lead against Birmingham need locking up. Rafa saw the disarray and lack of drive in the last 1/2 hr against Birmingham and realised that he couldn't afford to take his captain off thw ith the game so delicately poised. If our strikers started taking their chances then maybe Rafa could afford to rest the key players a bit more. We had to win and we did, if Stevie is not fit for Tuesday because of that then so be it. We've won a game again now, the confidence will start to come back. -
The difference is LFC know that if they dont provide me with a decent service I'm not going to go to a competitor. They can afford to cut corners, deliver half arsed service because at the end of the day I'll come back for more every time. That is why I expect very little from them and regard every bit of decent service as a delightful perk. I wouldn't risk my job spending an hour and a quarter on the phone queueing to speak to my bank manager like I did last year for Deportivo tickets. I got the payback though because I got to Istanbul

I undestand your frustrations Tetti but did you really think the servers would cope with the demand. An e-season ticket fan will tell you how hard it has been in the past with bandwidth, servers crashing etc when their is a big game. I never use the online service, personal preference, but is not a server crash the same as some poor sod who gets an endless dialling tone on the phone ? Every way has it's pitfalls except queuing for tickets. The only time I have been ultra desperate for tickets (I'm lucky being a ST holder that this isn't that often) I went to the ground 7.30am for a 9.30 TO opening. I got my tickets for the FA Cup final, cost me £70 each but I got them. Anyway, I suppose my popint is that if you don't go down the ground and queue you are taking a chance so you can't really blame the system when it's not your lucky day, can you ?
-
What were you doing instead at 4.00am this morning ? I've got a mate who defintitely wanted to go to Cheltenham v Newcatle, his mate had a ticket and he needed to get one of the 600 that went on sale. He went at 4.45am and got his ticket.

He said he's from Norwich, they've not discover fire yet ...

It would give somebodies centrebacks something to thing about f***ing suicide.

Puts the whole thing in perspective really R.I.P

Rush Dalglish St John Hunt

Can I add Chris Coleman to the Do list. Never shies away from the truth. Why does Mourinho have no class ? We were beaten by the goal that never was I didn't see the tackle but I saw Sissoko's Shhhhhhhhhhh

I'd rather Barcelona f***ed them over personally. Dump them out ASAP. Other than our own continued improvement and success my one wish is that Abramovich never ever gets his hands on the European Cup. Sure, as long as he is there he will win a raft of league titles. Over 38 games the better players with a good manager will always win but in the cup anything can happen.

It's called a save. The guy gets a header from 6yds out and the keeper gets down and makes a great save and you say he was lucky that the man was in an offside position the man who got to the ball first BECAUSE he was in an offside position. Beggars belief. It was a very good save. THE END

Spot on, I think some people underestimate how pyschologically important a goal is in a tight game. Both for and against. We were knocked right out of our stride by it and Chelsea got renewed vigour. It's all if's and buts but you cannot make two elementary defensive mistakes against a team as good as Chelsea. We didn't in the Champions League and we won the group. I think our team are both mentally and physically tired. Players need rotating now otherwise we will be out of the Champions League come April. We must finish in the top 4 come May and other than that all our effort should be on the cup competitions that we are still in. It would be nice to finish above the Mancs but first and foremost we should try and win the trophies that we can win. No prizes for second place in the league.
-
That would certainly f*** with your state of mind. Hopefully just bulls***.
-
I really really really hope they f***ing did. Fans that come on the internet to slate a player at half time don't deserve Istanbul.
-
Exactly, we've had a bit of banter with the lad and some k****ead ruins it by getting all aggro. We keep saying, we're better than that but unfortunately a large percentage of our match going fanbase aren't

In defence of the Lower Centenary I sit 50 rows in and there was nothing but disdain for that chant. The Pennant thing was unfortunate. He went mad kicked a flag over and we starting chanting 'You're supposed to be in jail'. He gave a little wry smile and that was the end of it. Then two minutes later some blert gets the ball and as Pennant goes over to get it the k****ead throws it right at Pennant. t***. Anyway, then all the 'wools' start singing 'You're supposed to be in jail' because they heard us doing it moments earlier.

So instead he should do what, anticipates that Xabi is going to chest it into his own net. Xabi should have dealt with it.
