Wasnt Arbeloa bought as a right sided full back though ? Considering the job he did against Messi , he was very poor regardless. I think your right about Gerrard, he has to play in the middle and I too would drop Xabi for the home game. I know what poeple say about him making us tick but I honestly think he has been poor this season by his high standards. Riise should be gone in the summer, hes a joke that looks half asleep. Oh yes, we need a couple of strikers desperately.

Rafa got it wrong today, like he has all season away from home. We have almost no creativity in the side and are very predictable to opposing sides. I dont rate Zenden at all, but I think he had a better game than Stevie and Xabi. Arbeloa , Agger , Kuyt and Bellamy all very poor. Very lucky IMO to only be one goal down. But I still think we will go through
