  1. hmmm im yet to be convinced. clearly troubling times indeed
  2. nah, i might just start talking to the wife again. it's long overdue.
  3. im curious to know who everyone thinks would replace rafa? plus are we willing to give up on the title for 3-5 years whilst the team is dismantled and reassembled, on most likely less money than mancs, a***, and chelski will have over the same period, with most likely more stability. I love rafa and i am getting very frustrated with the results and for my sins ive had "is it time up for rafa" thoughts. However i still think that all the behind the scenes stuff is causing disruption beyond rafa's control. united went to s*** as soon as purble nose said he was retiring at the end of the season. i wonder if it's the same here. so much press saying rafa is a dead man walking and now according to reports (true or not) DIC arent arsed on rafa. it doesnt take steven hawking or even steven gately to work out this is going to f*** with the heads of footballers with varying degrees of intelligence and loyalty. does rafa even know where he stands? come on now, thnk of your own jobs, this uncertainty could knock any company sideways never mind one so much in the public glare. i think we're screwed until behind the scenes is sorted. yes rafa doesnt help himself sometimes, but i think a competitve bankroll, a vote of confidence and a stable ownership and rafa could still do it for us.
  4. im lost for words mate. what is the f***ing world coming to?

sorry i know im playing catch up but play intange early doors when there are lots of possible titles, but in a week where trophies are running short, why risk it? i realise its contractual, but why agree that, or at least why agree that with a shaky keeper?
  6. i havent followed all this thread but i hope to god todays events havent turned into gerrard bashing. i think id lose the will to live.
  7. havent read all the details but if it was a serious proposal and it was £5k, id be in.
  8. i hate what theyve done to the club as much as anyone and i cant see how they could regain my trust if they ignore the supporters and sack rafa but all that aside it is a fantastic looking stadium, so fair dos on that score. i dont think we can moan about the difference in price or design if we arent qualified to know what to look for. personally im made up it looks the same design and it isnt the parry bowl
  9. i thought it was hilarious! he looked embaraased at the questions but happy too. go rafa!
  10. great stuff from all those attending. i will be saluting you all. i wrote to rafa today telling him to keep battling on and to hicks and gillett telling the to wise up f***os (im paraphrasing) YNWA rafa!
  11. Thanks Elisha, was he pursuing his pipe dream of becoming an actor? In light of the rafa and pako fall out, i'm glad other good LFC friendships are still ok :-). We're a sensitive community at LFC
  12. has stevie really become distanced from his mate on that doc? thought he seemed a good lad i it was good to see their piss taking out of each other
  13. going back to the topic ;-), what did they say about pako?
  14. hmm dont know if ive seen the latest ones now. im confused. can anyone repost?
  15. Its a tougher run in but in some ways thats not a bad thing. We often see they can raise their game when in cups and at this stage it'll be like a cup competition. If they are still in the mix by that point i'd hope theyd be fired up, bedded in with new players, getting any frshness benefits from rotation (dont crucify me for using the "r" word). I think an easier opening and a summer break will really help us. It could well be on, we just need to know who we're adding to the ranks.
  16. Does anyone have any idea how the new capacity will affect the size of the season ticket waiting list? i heard it was, like, a nine year waiting list and i only went on there a year ago. So i wonder if this new stadium will account for the waiting list? anyone any ideas?

  19. im not sure of the relevance but ive had some wine so i'll tell you anyway. i met michael owen and AN agent of his (he didnt seem old enough to be THE agent and he seemed a nice guy to chat to) at an MSN corporate bash (he was doing a world cup blog for them) at the groucho club in london just before the world cup last year. Owen was surprisingly frank and honest about a range of questions and i was lucky to have a good chat with him. It was clear that he still had a huge respect and love for Liverpool. If you asked him who he supported the answer would be clear. As we'd chatted previously that evening he gave me the nod for a "two parter" question at the official q and a section of the evening (hosted by bob wilson, who is a lovely fella). I specifically asked him if he had any issues with rafa and perhaps more importantly, did he think he could he play in the system that rafa plays? To the first question he stated firmly he had absoultely no negative issues with rafa and the confidence with which he said he could play in rafa's system (not even a pause) made me at the time really optimistic he would be coming back. I even sneaked in an extra question saying "so as a gambling man, do you recommend i bet on you coming home in the summer?" and he winked at me and said "you've had your two questions" which got a good laugh. incidentally he was a gent to all and signed absolutely everything that was put in front of him and he completely charmed the whole room (the msn dollies loved him) with his combination of shyness, quiet confidence and generosity with the people there. anyway the point is, if he was given a sniff of a return, im sure hed jump at it. His warmth towards gerrard and playing wih gerrard was clear. people slag him off here at times, but despite everything (and even i enjoyed the irony of liverpools fortunes once he left), owen is one of my all-time favourite liverpool players (i'll never forget going mental at his winning goal in the cup final vs arsenal) and i would love to see him back at anfield even though im not entirely convinced he will be either the player he was or able to stay fit for long enough to help us win the title. what was the question again?
  20. i love rafa. utter lengend. end of

  22. love this idea! to be able to have some season tickets in time for my 5 month old to be old enough o join the swelling ranks of liverpool supporters suits me just fine. please let it happen!
  23. neither, if we have to go out i dont want it to be either of those c****
  24. does anyone know how far into the season ticket waiting list it will go? i only put my name down abot 8 months ago so i guess im still screwed either way
  25. the press have it all wrong. it was clearly a cricket shot, going down the pitch to t*** a ball from a spin bowler into teh stands for six. i cant believe everyone has made such a basic error.
