Yup I firmly believe Liverpool are a 4231/433 team regardless of how they are arranged - ie even in a 442 what happens is Liverpool drift into a 3 CM set up with Gerrard moving to the middle 433/4231 especially 4231 allows the full backs to overlap more and help out our wingers thus providing a better supply of crosses and with the 2 holding players Gerrard can adopt the role of ball carrier and driver urging the team onward its no coincidence that - 4231 works better now we have mash in the team as the full backs now provide additional wide outlets ( as mash - el jefe, controls the midfield) which gives crouch more space and a better supply

I think the team have finally figured out how to supply Crouchie first of all I dont see many long aimless balls anymore the crosses now have pace and the balls to feet are the sort and in the box striker would thrive on What's that 18 goals this season? and people want a 20+ per year striker seems to me Crouchie could be that for us he just doesnt have the pace to excite in the same way as Eto'o Right now though I would have to say Crouchie is looking as good as Klose !!!

it would, only I doubt Simao is the ball carrying creative wide player we need, and while I love Quaresma's skill ( said so a number of times) I'm not sure h e would cut it in the premier league the idea is sound though as I think the best use of our midfield talent is to play a 433/4231 - strangely enough this also makes good use of our striking talent - its just the wingers we lack
