  1. why does it look like Jenas and not anyone else ?
  2. Kewell, Macateer etc.
  3. MAn City look to Rafa for manager - hmm http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/tm_...-name_page.html
  4. Everything keeps saying Barry would have been the better deal ( plus being left footed he'd have balanced the midfield)
  5. All we know for sure is Keane isn't working out here and Spurs are desperate - expect Santa Cruz to go to City
  6. just 15m no player in the deal too ?
  7. Some would say they're winning it the George Graham way, other say they're out Rafering Rafa - to me it looks like their winning based on reputation. Seems to me most teams are beaten before they take the field hence the tame displays
  8. Don't remind me. As if that wasn't bad enough we didn't have the money to buy are real goal-scorer
  9. Edwin van der Sar has set new football league record for minutes without conceding a goal - 1,104 minutes. SUCKS
  10. are you a Meercat ??
  11. hope they don't get gang raped again - 1-0 to Everton would be a nice start
  12. hope spurs make an outrageous desperate bid for Keane, that we're inclined to accept ... come on 'arry
  13. don't know if that's true - but knowing Rafa he'd be extremely reluctant to sell mid season. I personally think he should gamble and take the risk. get the money back and with other sales and progress in the CL (we hope) come summer he should have a bit to spend on a RW/Stiker and or Barry ( assuming Villa finish outside the top 4)
  14. come on man city, you know you want too
  15. FFS !
  16. forget the attitude thing - take a look at how the mancs have gone top. They've done it the Benitez way!!!! Basically they've conceded fewer goals, not that they've scored more. That's ironic I know but it's worth noting, their defense is better !!!!!!!
  17. we may get a better deal now than in the summer as teams will be more desperate
  18. Thanks - Rafa's getting N'gog lots of games, guess he's trying to get him ready
  19. Cool any idea of the formation ?
  20. thanks for that, if true it at least means rafa's looking for attacking options .... wish it was clear whether he was a striker or an attacker
  21. good question, but I can tell you it plays on the teams mind. They want to play safe and stick when twist is the safest course
  22. but since that defeat... just shows how fragile the confidence really was
  23. We dont have any creativity, that's true. but that's always been a problem. What's bothering me is we're conceding goals a plenty. The big difference between us and man u this season. They're defense is WAY better than ours
  24. anyone know anything about this guy ? what position does he play in ? ( presumably somewhere up front) Liverpool enter race for Arsenal's new Henry Author: Nigel Brown Posted on: 29 January 2009 - 13:00 Category: Football Comments: 2 Go... Rafa Benitez has entered the race for Henri Saivet, the youngest player to play for Bordeaux in their history. Arsene Wenger has tracked the player for the last two years, inviting Saivet to visit Arsenal's North London training ground as well as sending chief scout Steve Rowley to watch the player on a number of occasions. As it turned out, Saivet signed a professional deal with Bordeaux having previously been subject to a youth contract at St Etienne. The 18 year-old has only made a handful of appearances for Bordeaux since moving from St Etienne and according to reports in France, Benitez has entered the race to sign the player dubbed the 'new Thierry Henry.' Bordeaux are reluctant to sell their prized asset with any talk of a move away from France pure speculation at the moment. The club refused to provide any comment on the rumours linking Saivet with two of England's top clubs. http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/13464...new_Henry_.aspx
