Pongolle is the one I'd least like to see leave. However he had a run of games at Blackburn last year and didnt exactly set the place on fire. Can see the value of using him as an impact sub but apart from that dont see much chance for him apart from League Cup games and the like. Mellor and Le Tallec wont make the bench in all honesty ahead of Bellamy Crouch Kuyt and Fowler. And it is likely that Rafa will play 2 of those 4 in the League Cup to get match fitness up - which 2 of course depends on who is/isnt getting a good run in league games and the CL which would again limit FSPs chances. Perhaps if he had been given a good run 2 years ago he could have staked a claim but that ship has sailed now IMO.

In goal... David James pissed me off cos he was so unpredictable. couple of great saves then a clanger. Never felt comfortable with him in goal. His yellow hair only added to the overall level of p!ssness. In defence... Kvarme in defence looked terrified everytime the ball came near him - looked like to me anyway In midfield Mark Kennedy 2 million quid and he hits the bar once. Attacking winger who never scored. His other claim to fame is dancing on a car in Dublin along with that legendary goal post humper Phil Babb. Up front... Heskey cos on the few occassions he left the pitch having delivered anything approaching an acceptable level of performance he followed it up with one of dire ineptitude. Manager Greme Souness Didnt seem to know how to make a team on the pitch and knew how to alienate fans off it. Get them all together and have them play in a kind of opaque yellow strip, at Old Toilet and you'd sum them all up perfectly.

There is something really special about Liverpool isnt there? I was thinking after Istanbul that that sort of game doesnt happen to anyone else, The Mancs, Arsenal, Chelsea for all their money cant buy games and nights like that Maybe as a fan I hype it up much more but I really think that those games (Milan for one, today for another as finals) are a few in a lifetime. Mind you Luton and Fulham last season were an example of the growing never give up attitude of this team. speaking of downloads, apart from someone who kindly posted the goals from the liverpool thailand fan club site earlier have you been able to find anything resembling a full video of te whole thing? emule has nothing and cant get anything on torrent either...
