  1. Did lewis steele fail journalist school or something? I expect him to trot our another fantastic stat during the game along the likes of its been 72 weeks since we last scored from an indirect free-kick inside the box when the sun was shining and a dog was barking outside Anfield.
  2. I wouldn’t waste capital letters on that lot

  4. Pretty much as I cannot see anyone replicating what he did or who he was. I would imagine man united fans felt the same way after ferguson left.

  6. They’ve sacked the guy they hired to replace the guy they sacked after winning them their first trophy in 17 years. It’s like they sat down in the summer and said how can we out spurs ourselves lads.
  7. What a list of unflushable turds. Darren Fletcher (Interim, 2026) Soon not to be at united Ruben Amorim (2025-2026) Not at united Erik ten Hag (2022-2025) Not at united Ralf Rangnick (2021-2022) Not at united Ole Gunnar Solskjær (2018-2021) Not at united José Mourinho (2016-2018) Not at united
  8. Written by Gareth Barrys mum probably.
  9. ‘We could only sign Chiesa cos we were in the EL and thats all he’s good for’ is what’s been said there isn’t it? A mightily poor thing to say about any player. Wont do his confidence any good thats for sure.
  10. Also means we are either going to continue to run out of steam every season by March, or the next manager is going to have to hope there is a good number of decent prospects at youth level ready to become squaddies asap.
  11. It literally isn’t, sometimes people just want to laugh at man united, nobody needs a formation or a managerial dogma to make that happen.
  12. Lad you must have a daily reminder set to post this very same sentence!
  13. I get the moneyball thing, but cheaper players are cheaper for a reason... Also, didn't we play a 343 or 532 system way back with Bjornebye playing as a LWB? One of the least creative players in living memory playing as a creative outlet on the left.... I'm not a fan of this type of setup either regardless of who might be the coach. I would hope that Hughes and the suits aren't sitting in a room deciding what formation the team should play or inflicting such opinions on a head coach but who knows, the situation is bonkers enough for it to be a possibility.
  14. Playing with 3 CBs, even if one of them is the holding midfielder and 2 wing backs is going to play into the hands of the low block teams isn’t it? And if not playing into it, it certainly doesn’t suggest a means of getting past low block teams. It at least seems a more defensive setup on paper given the two wide players will be having some element of defensive duties all the time.
  15. I highly doubt it - Endo or Robertson would have been considered before Dom was pushed into the position.
  16. We needed a LW more than another striker and we needed defenders more also. Isak was a luxury signing made at the expense of other positions in the team.
  17. Quansah looked decent, mich more than decent even regularly and the player signed to replace him was 18 years old and untried! I am pretty certain posts could be found singing Quansahs praises to the rafters on here but as has been said, no trust = no game time and good bye. Even if the 18 year old who was trusted in a mighty LC 3rd round home tie had remained fit I doubt he would be getting much game time either.
  18. Having 2 WC players for each position is for the fantasists and has only ever been reality for the oil baron clubs. We started this season (and last season and probably a few before that) with a serious shortage of numbers in defence. Thats on Hughes and the decision makers. Selling Q was stupidity (that's on Hughes for allowing it and Slot for jettisoning the lad), plenty knew and said it was stupid at the time. Keeping Joe was the same, he should have been moved on and replaced a couple of seasons ago at least, instead we’re lashing 100m at Newcastle for a CF we don’t need (presumably this is a Hughes wet dream signing) and asking Joe to cover all defensive positions. Incompetence? stupidity?, take your pick, but it’s biting us now.
  19. Injuries have taken a toll but he has lost his way a bit, or a lot considering he was the best on the world a few seasons back.
  20. Ekitike AND Isak always sounded too good to be true and looked like mis-placed bravado to some. Christ we’re paying for that BS now in spades. The bench and squad depth would make any new manager wince and ask on day 1 where are the rest of the players?
  21. Great so our next manager is going to be the love child of roy keane and ange postecoglou.

  23. Also thought nevile was at his very worst today, constantly clamouring for and blatantly wanting a city win, obviously his desire is to stop us closing in on his beloved team and it is bubbling to the surface, he’s a walk talking advert for illegal streams with foreign commentators.
  24. We are allowed to out the ball out ourselves any time we want, I am assuming they didn’t have possession for a full 4 minute stretch. That tweet is nonsense.
  25. This has been an issue for years - Kabak, Rhys Williams, keeping Nat Phillips around the place like he had some sort of illustrious back career to justify it, that Greek fella Sorotios or whatever his name was, CB has been neglected for an age. The incompetence around Guehi and the delusion that an untried 18 year old would see us through are frankly stupidly obscene. Or par for the course with this structure within the club. Keane? No mancs. Orbison? Perhaps.
