You assume our owners and transfer committee are competent enough to find that player and pull the trigger. That is a big IF. Knowing these incompetent buffoons, they will f*ck it up next year as well.

And then there are people on here praising FSG and the window we have had. These lot are no better than Hicks and Gillette. I disagree. I don’t think it had anything to do with Chelsea bidding earlier. We knew that we had to buy a DM even if we had Fab. We could have bid for him the moment Arsenal pulled out but we didn’t because we were f*cking penny pinching. The fact that we were waiting to sell Fab is the issue right there. Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Utd and Newcastle don’t give a sh*t about whether they need to sell before we can buy. We are the only ones to do it. I am convinced that Caicedo bid was not really serious at all as they knew Chelsea were going to get him. I am starting to wonder that likes of Ward and Edwards probably left because they were fed up of having to work night and day within such tight constraints and find the right player. I would not be surprised if Klopp does the same. Then our business model really collapses because without a world class manager, we are f*cked. F*ck off FSG.

You will need willing owners to do that. Unfortunately our lot are too busy at trying to find ways to save money. We’ve had the lowest net spend compared to our rivals for the last 5 years. With the revenue we have generated through our success, it is unforgivable that we are still having to sell to buy.

Agree with this. What irritates me about the current owners is this moto of living within our means which is f*cking ridiculous. We have been one of the highest earners, if not the highest over the last 5 years - yet we have been outspent by City, Chelsea, Utd and Everton over that period. We are being run as a business rather than a football club that should be focused on winning. Take Klopp out of the equation and we are fighting Utd, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal for CL places.

I would say we need a striker more than a creative midfielder. Mo may have won the Golden Boot but he blows hot and cold too much for my liking. Mane is brilliant but again not a clinical finisher. Ditto Diaz and Firmino.
