  1. Yep. When we needed a rock, he was a mountain.
  2. Obviously our best mid since Stevie. And could yet become one of our best ever. That was a performance from the gods from Fab.
  3. I had a weird premonition yesterday that we're going to win the league with 94 points. City to lose their last two, and Wolves to frustrate us at Anfield. I have no logic to back this up, other than it being a weird season, so it deserves a weird ending. Can't imagine how wrecked we'll be if they do lose tomorrow and we're losing to Wolves next weekend though.
  4. He will be the only player in history to be sent off for it, ever. We are always the test case for the "current climate" which mysteriously disappears after we've been punished for it.
  5. The Guardian match report also points out that: Alisson just equalled Reina's 20 clean sheets in a season record Mo broke Hunt & Reybould's goals in the first 100 games record (69 goals) And VVD has featured in just 4 league defeats since he got here. In 50 games. This is a quite ridiculous team we've got.
  6. I think Hull missed off a 0. And yeah, best left back on the planet, certainly the best one imaginable for a Klopp team. Obviously worried about the mockers for next week, mind.
  7. But can you all imagine if we win it on the last day? Brighton hold out for a crappy 0-0 and we beat Wolves with an injury time winner? Would finally exorcise the ghost of '89. I can dream.
  8. If this is true, and it's an addition rather than a replacement, it would be hugely exciting. He plays like a left footed Mane - hard working, incredibly fast, cuts inside from the right wing, scores and sets up others. Has played on either wing too. My ex-pro mate has been on about him for months, thinks he's the best winger in Europe currently outside of our two.
  9. I think it's actually like having Thor in goal. The Thor that looks like Chris Hemsworth. We should give him a f**k off huge hammer to walk on the pitch with, and leave behind the net.
  10. Me and my mate actually both said "Jesus what a touch" out loud at the same time. And then went mental about 1.5 seconds later, obviously.
  11. Wouldn't swap him for any other player in the world in his position. Just like big Virge, Mo, Sadio and Robbo. Hell of a first team Klopp's made.
  12. 2nd worst, surely (and even then I think there's a lot of stiff competition for the other spots).
  13. Agreed. His side gave us a proper game for 70 minutes, and a) we have their 2 most recent world-class players b) their side is full of very average players, playing way above their norm. Ralph's doing a damn good job.
  14. If we don't do it this season, that is quite annoying. Mostly that we were so gash the season Leicester won it - had we been in year 3 or 4 Jurgen, we'd have walked it.
  15. Not sure we'll be spending north of £200M this summer, but I hope you're right!
  16. In a nutshell
  17. Only thing giving me hope is that for Fulham and Cardiff this is the mother of all free hits. They can play with a bit of freedom as everyone expects them to be spanked, and the cup game showed that can be effective. I live in hope.
  18. although this isn't the night for gentle digs at big Joel, think Earl's Embrace tribute deserved more love. Last line scans *perfectly* But Matip was superb tonight, and nowt he could do about the OG.
  19. If it's anything, it'll just be another fine, an even bigger one than last time, as UEFA loves money much more than it loves 'the spirit of the game' or 'integrity' or any of those other silly notions.
  20. These two posts are the best thing here. Spot on.
  21. Leon Bailey would be lovely. A leftie who actually wants to play left wing , but can play all across the front. And he's fast as f**k, so would fit in perfectly, assuming he's more Son than Voronin (if we're talking about signing Leverkeusen players).
  22. Thomas Dolby, musical genius.
  23. FWIW my total admiration for Klopp means I have severe cognitive dissonance about the idea of him not spotting a cr*p goalie coach. So it may well be a rubbish theory.
