I think humbled Mo looked a bit better today. A couple of those chances he created today - weeks ago he’s just pushing to to the left and blasting it into a defender or row z. Only 1 shot or so I think for Brighton today but they did create a few good chances where they could / should have scored. decent performance overall though. Could have been a 4-2 on another day.

If they’re going to back the manager & If Salah is left out of the squad now (regardless of whether it’s right or wrong) and we play s*** in the next game or two it’s going to be beyond toxic, although it possibly is going to be regardless Of the results. Slots only hope now is that they start to put in prime Klopp looking performances overnight, so it looks like Salahs presence was the issue. It seems it just a when not if for both now in regards to leaving. But possibly one is going to be delayed a little longer.

The fans siding with Salah are only doing so cos they want Slot out. If he’d have done this with Klopp it’d be 100% Klopp support. Plus a new manager can’t come in now and be expected to deal with someone who’s said that. Basically you have to play him for next 1.5 year or else he’s gonna cry. It’s an instant bad atmosphere / tense situation. FSG just need to get it done this week. Slot out and Salah going to Saudi after AFCON.

I keep thinking is this a parting gift from Salah - if I’m going down I’m taking you with me kinda thing. I think Salah deserved to be benched and it took long enough. He had plenty (majority this season) of games too where he’s been shocking & greedy and somehow lasted the full match. But on the same note 90% of the team has been shocking all season so it’s kinda hard to judge, it’s just Salahs been the one you expect more from. Konates just been fairly lucky both RBs been injured a lot plus Leoni and Gomez being a semi-crock.

Still presuming this is real - even if a new manager comes in now u can’t come in to some player thinking he’s bigger than the club / gonna create issues if he gets dropped

What is the “promise?” He will never miss a game / get subbed / get rested or dropped for playing s***e / can’t miss more than 1 or 2 games in a row if he’s fit?

No I’m glad he’s been dropped. All players should be equal. I don’t think either should be here next season. If it’s real though it destabilises the club though and creates more tension. You can’t have players kicking off if they get dropped for a few games for playing s***. But maybe it’s a collective thing to try and get rid of Slot if he speaks out… Mac has been dropped quite a lot. Konate unfortunately we’ve not really had too much choice with RB injuries.

The timing here is pretty brutal. Think this is deliberate to force FSG down two paths. Sell him or sack slot. He has been absolutely awful this season and a liability at times imo but the rest of the team and manager have been awful so it’s kinda hard to see what’s what.

Tbh I think Kane and Haaland would look s*** in this team too. Wide players and midfielders creating f*** all and constantly stopping and going backwards. Or just losing the ball in general before actually doing something with it. Happened with Nunez last season. Granted he wasn’t anywhere near good enough - even with Klopp he still was involved in games and could have scored a few most matches (if he could have finished) but last season when he featured he was barely noticeable anytime he was on the pitch.

The only way we are beating teams this year is if they turn up somehow s***ter than us.

Think we need a new approach / formation now - that doesn’t include him.

This is this thing thought isn’t it. Real were never gonna come and defend and stick 10 men behind the ball. I never worried once about them. We can beat them At Their own game with our players. Would be much more worried if we played wolves etc.

I think we’ve all took him for granted. Tbh at times last season he looked very dodgy and on his way out but clearly still has so much to offer too. A certain be careful what you wish for moment

Did actually worry a bit about where he was gonna fit in this season with new signings. Seems to have upped His game massively though. Looking like the next captain imo if he carries on like this.
