If the word isn't a racist word then you cannot hammer the person who said the word just because it sounds like another word in another language. If people care about racism then why can't we have all the facts out there and then have a proper debate. Racism genuinely affects people's lives. It affects my life and to have it as some sort of political football is really disappointing. It's a point I made earlier in the thread but it's really easy just to launch at this funny looking foreign fella and use it to make everyone feel better about themselves. If Evans wants to help the situation, if all of these journos want to advance anti racism initiatives then why don't they ask themselves why Darren Lewis is just about the only black person in their profession and he's s*** anyway. Why don't they ask themselves why they only chase the opinions of black footballers on these issues. This is apart from Ian Wright who I'm sure they find easy to patronise and place back in his box cos again, he's s*** too. Did all the Talksport hosts who care ever so passionately about this issue look around their Christmas party and wonder why it was all so very white as they listened to The Pogues and Noddy Holder over and over and over again. These are things that are genuinely people's lives and it's within their sphere of influence. They don't want to touch it though do they. They don't want to look at something so close to home, a situation that they're perpetuating. No. Much better to make a load of noise about the utter irrelevance which is a kid from Uruguay using a non racist term. Couldn't f*cking make it up!
