yeah. I said before the start of the game that that was where the hole is and that's why I couldn't see us win. looks like fred milne was right should have just gone 442 and bombed on. Still massively heartened by Carroll. That's the big thing out of this. Lad can be a force of nature.

He stepped it when we did and gave it a go then. What a beast that Andy lad is though. He should have put the header away but that performance he gave was the forward's equivalent of all those Gerrard shows. Raised us all by himself. Got to get him into the team and just dangling an intl tourny in front of him helps.

I can't see us winning this. They're much better than us. We have a gaping hole in midfield. We've already beaten them twice so it's their turn. Torres is due his day against us. Drogba is going to go out on a biggie. We are owed the pain of losing a cup final because we avoid it so often. We had our "cannot afford to lose this game" v Everton and the universe will realign to give their supporters somehing to cheer. WE CANNOT WIN!!

Think he's got more technical ability and a better eye for the pass. Obviously Lampard is much much better than him before anyone misinterprets this I actually think Shelvey struggled a bit y'day. not as impressive as his other displays and I'm one who really really likes him

I couldn't work out that deal at the time. They'd been trying to get rid of him for a while though. Maybe they figured him disruptive. Ibra is hardly Mr Team though is he? Maybe I'm being unfair as he just looks arrogant. On the pitch though Eto'o seems to play unselfishly and his movement was ace and he was willing to play wide which I thought fitted their mould. Maybe they wanted a target man though
