Crouchy's form hasn't been all that since Everton (neither have we actually so maybe it's not a coincidence) even though he scored the game after that.

Why did he try and buy Owen and then sign Fowler? How come Mista got 24 in rafa's last season That's a ridiculous statistic. No one gets 30 assists. Henry had one incredible season where he got something like 28goals and 21 assists but that was the best player in the world playing as well as he can

Was annoyed at not burying relegation candidates who had 10 men for an age. Agree with David Hodgson that we haven't hit the heights since the Bolton game. The las time we played really well and won was the derby. We were lright v WBA. Certainly haven't matched the Newcy performance for a while.

In all seriousness there were about 3-4 clearances he could have done better with and heskey and sutton looked like they may bully him a couple of times but hasn't he only just got fit. The english game can be a bit unique in terms of throwing forward lines like that at you.

I don't think if mori was paired with a consistent goalscorer that he would look any better. It would just paper over the cracks. How would the ball stick upfront for long enough to create any chances anyway, especially in away games where morientes genuinely becomes as poor as this thread is in danger of charicaturing him as. It has to be Crouch+1 for me If he gets shipped out after a year and a half aged 30 and bought for 6milllion+ then it won't be because of all the success he's had. There's time for him yet but he's going to have to actually improve to the level that some of his fans think he's playing at.

He does come out with moments of class but it's just not enough. If this is honestly the return people were expecting after a year over here then they're more easily pleased than me and more easily pleased by nando than they are other strikers who they'll (fairly) stick the boot into. He'll score soon and that will be held up as a triumph. He'll then have four more games, two average, one good, one shocking, then he'll score again and the cycle will repeat.
