  2. It's only football.
  3. It happened to Kewell
  4. I agree with this. We've got a 6'7" striker for goodness sake, it would be madness not to take advantage of that
  5. other finishes he didn't blast
  6. anderlect and kaunas and portsmouth
  7. neither did cisse
  8. did it against spurs too. I think it's to try and stop our forwards being isolated, get stevie into the game and not sacrifice any bite
  9. no need to turn it into a witch hunt
  10. Behave SD. It was as physically as perfect a ball as he could have played
  11. in their last season in France together I thought drogba looked the better player. He at least looked a hell of a player. Luckily he was anywhere near that level for chelsea but i do think he gets derided a bit too much
  12. after a promising start to the season he's gone downhill
  13. shame crouch went off injured. i was screaming for sinama to replace djibril even if i scoffed two weeks ago at the thought of FSP being the better player. You can often look better by not playing though so that's something to bear in mind he probably will have good games again but that performance was so bad having been giviven the chance that i do reckon it was actually symbolic and represents the performance which showed Cisse isn't a Liverpool player. When he leaves the club that match will be what he is remembered for
  14. I actually wanted Cisse to start as i wanted to hit them on the break. You can't really do that with garcia but if we are going to "dominate" anyway then we might as well play someone good. There's very few players who can play either side of crouchy the only one we have is kewell unless sinama finds his olympiakos/luton form. watch it again
  15. I said he only played LB v shytre teams at home. Yesterday he palyed against Man U who aren't shyte and weren't at anfield. As well as this he played well bar about two occasions but i think it was Rooney and Giggs who did for him and they're world class. So fair play. Hopefully he can continue that and i'll take that as a positive from yesterday
  16. If west ham don't win tonight i've literally got every prediction wrong. Ouch!
  17. Blaming Parry for signing Cisse for too much and then not backing rafa is bizarre. Thankfully i'm not sure too many are doing that. If our gaffer demands a player and we land him for a high price (within our means) I'd be more inclined to blame the manager. If this means that we have not a lot of money left for the new manager then again i'd be more likely to blame ged and i like/love him a hell of a lot more than our Chief Executive. Cisse isn't my favourite player or least favourite player but i often stick up for him where he is being scapegoated. He was f*cking shocking yesterday though and if can play for Liverpool so can I. Counting the days down til the summer.

you don't see how the first sentence and second sentence are linked
  20. no we weren't Birmingham or anything. But we hadn't played any european football for a while and we were so inconsistent in the league. Football's never been all about excitement but there wasn't much optimistic anticipation around when people viewed our next league match. This year's been absolutely superb so far bar about the first 4-5 weeks and even that didn't matter because we were still the fresh european champions. On a side note i wouldn't mind if UEFA made us start every season in July. Summer's crap generally.
  21. I think it was around this time last year when everyone everybody was disillusioned with the game. I was one of them. At the time i thought it was to do with all sorts of factors like football running away from it's soul. Looking back on it I think it's just cos we were crap.
  22. I wouldn't. But then i'd state my concerns and get flamed for them

  24. I don't think it's even so much the £12million that's the problem. It's being expected to put down a £5million downpayment on a 16 year old kid with about 22 games under his belt. It's mental. Even if you don't pay the rest of the performance clauses you've still paid 5mill for a 16 year old. Having said that I hope he goes on to fulfill his potential as he could be great to watch and I like arsenal anyway. Plus the kid turned down chelsea
