Good post Jimmy, I agree. The huge factor you haven't touched upon is the iconic imagery of the liverbird that forms part of our logo. It is good for the club to have the official emblem, whilst having the ability (both internally and externally - as admirably demonstrated by our fans flags etc) to use the liverbird to symbolise anything created as distinctly Liverpool FC. Essentially whilst we have the official emblem we also have benefit of the Liverbird brand, as although we can't use this alone officially due to lack of copyright - we can use is to support and supplement our brand. Lets face it, you see the Liverbird and you don't see Everton.
