A great summers spending for me (after whats been said recently and presuming we have been priced out of Alves) would be that we bring in Paletta, Aurelio, Gonzalez, Pennant, Joaquin, Aimar and Torres. Paletta and Gonzalez (permit withstanding) already done, with Aurelio it seems nearly there. Pennant - strong rumours and cheap. Joaquin - Fig says could leave for a relatively low price. Aimar - Rumours Valencia want rid, and a low price. Torres - not cheap, but a great option up front and rumours of being Rafas first chice - DH confirmed talks taking place (iirc). Lots of possibilities there. Left mid - Kewell, Gonzalez. Right mid - Pennant, Joaquin, Gerrard. Centre mid - Momo, Xabi, Gerrard. Up front - Gerrard (deep), Aimar (deep), Fowler, Crouch, Torres. If we mostly play one target man with one deep lying forward, these should be enough. Any system and Rafa can tinker all he likes to suit the opposition.
