A CD of hers arrived through my door a few days back. I couldn't remember when I ordered it or why but I took it in and gave it a listen. And I listened to it again tonight. And I am baffled by it. It looks like a re-issue of some deeply obscure 70s backwater lost folk classic. It sounds like some medieval minstrel has crash landed in a banjo shop and upset the witch who owns the shop. But it turns out it was recorded only this year. Weird and disorientating do not begin to describe this record. Help me. Please

I've been afte a Rega for ages - lovely things they are. They come up on e-bay a lot but they are almost always 'buyer collects' and the seller is always in bleddy Surrey. Personally I have a Marantz which does the job very well. You can get a new deck for about £80 though - they're not that hard to find.

copyright/licensing laws is everything in this game I would guess - nearly everyone on the CD was dead about three hundred years back. BTW - meant to ask you - was it you who recommended the Dr.Alimontado - Best Dressed Chicken In Town album a while back? I tracked it down a while ago but only gave it its first listen this week. Not what I expected at all. Superb nonetheless. Dubtastic.
