  1. Have a go at him for his stupid actual quotes, but having a go based on condensed one-line f*cking twitter summations of what he said on the radio? You can do better than that. For all we know, it could have been a fond joking assesment of a player he actually likes.
  2. Actually, we played our best football with Kuyt and Benayoun on the wings.
  3. Stuff talking f***ing rubbish and lay off the ether for just one f***ing press conference. We've seen your 'senior' purchases and have had it with your repeated senior moments. We don't need any more seniors with no legs left and addled brains, we need players with actual ability and hunger.
  4. More evidence that roy lives in his own substance-induced world of make-belief.
  5. "My Joe may not be the prettiest or most gifted boy in the world, but he's got a beautiful heart and if only women saw him like I do, or Joe knew loved himself like I love him, I am sure they would be fawning all over him and he wouldn't be so nervous around them or need to live in my basement." --- Joe Cole's mum Cringeworthy stuff from Roy yet again. You have to give him credit for consistent originality though. I never see them coming except to the extent that I know they will come, in one way or another.
  6. I think a reliable and competent shortterm appointment is preferable to a risker longterm one for this position at this point in time. NESV are new to football, their whole team is new. We would do very well to get someone in who knows the ropes of running a football club succesfully, show NESV how it is done and what to look for in the future when Dein moves on.
  7. dear god, pltbt.
  8. I have the quote somewhere in my *The Very Best of Roy Hodgson* file on another computer. See if I can dig it up later. Seem to recall he actually shares a few details.
  9. He followed up a few weeks later by claiming that statistically, the everton game was the best away performance he has ever presided over in the premiership.
  10. god, these stats are killing me. If only it pained the owners in similar fashion, I'd feel better.
  11. I think anyone but roy is a legitimate and viable consideration for the short term at this point.
  12. it would be nice if macca stopped rating Torres and decided to mock him a bit.
  13. Yesterday was an exception to one of the main reasons it's imperative Roy must go. That no matter how close we may theoretically be to the top 4 and bla bla, the fact is we play like a bunch of losing losers who deserve to lose. On top of that, we also lose a lot and yesterday was no exception in that regard. I don't care about the performance yesterday. This was yet another 3 points lost and yet another nail in his coffin (which is plastered with nails all over the place already).
  14. 9th. 4th is still on, but it depends on how soon someone else takes over. roy will put us out of sight of that soon enough.
  15. I'm sure roy is having great fun talking to the press. "another pc, another opportunity to get high. one last weeze and it's out to see what the hell comes out of my mouth this time."

    Suso

"Suso may be a major talent, but only in the reserves. I must admit, I am not in the mood for talking about positives considering our league position. And the fans aren't exactly helping."
  17. can't believe he never made it to the premiership. His name is Rocky Baptiste, ffs.
  18. All of them would be warmly welcomed additions to this squad.
  19. A superb-athlete, but I am not convinced he was ever ultra-fit. Even way back when when he was starting regularly(-ish) and playing decently, Rafa would consistently take him off after 60 minutes like he did with Crouch irrespective of how well he played, which suggests to me he didn't think he could last 90.
  20. He and Heskey did a great job up front that night. It was a great against-the-odds victory.
  21. Diouf. Diao and Cheyrou were enigmas really. Diao actually looked very promising the first 3-4 months. Dynamic box-to-box midfielder who got stuck in and looked like he could run up and down the pitch all day. Then he steadily regressed and was shown up for his lack of quality when not riding a wave of confidence. Cheyrou? What was his plan with this guy, really? Looked impressive early whenever he was given cameos, but eventually went into his shell when he never got more than that. Weird handling of him. Houllier obviously rated him as someone who could become a central figure and yet he never dared to give him that responsibility. He should have just stuck him into the first team from day one and let him build on his confidence early on. Diouf, imo is the only of the three that actually improved over time. I would still say it was never his ability on the pitch that was in question. Always a strong dribbler, hard worker and offered movement on and off the ball. He desperately lacked in end product, but he was more than good enough to be an asset as a squad player. His ambition to become the most hated figure in the premiership put a stop to all that though.
  22. Dwight Yorke refutes your argument.
  23. Hodgson at the post-match conference against Everton, celebrating the 'statistically best performance of any team he's ever managed in the premiership'.
  24. WHat? I'm sure I've seen plenty of quotes, from his time at Blackburn and here, that he'll never ever quit. That he firmly believes it is always just a matter of time beofre he can turn it around, 'good managers don't turn bad overnight' etc.
