Give N'Gog a go I say

So what your are saying is that it is benitez's fault that we didn't win the league last year. That would mean you believe that we have the best team/squad in the league but the manager failed to get the best out of them. The only logical extension of that is that he should be replaced with someone who can.

Rafa's case to be heard tomorrow Here

Note to self - do not browse forum when eating lunch.

I hear he designs dresses so you may be in luck

As far as the scouting is concerned "could do better" is probably right. If we are going to take on players who have run down their contracts alarm bells should sound and every effort needs to be made to ensure they are of the right mentality and not just after a big fat paycheck.

Isn't Purslow a short term appointment?

Rafa's " weaknesses" in the transfer market are largely a result of the financial constraints he has had to operate in - if you are reduced to having to pick up players on a free then you will end up with some players like Voronin unfortunately but overrall he has done wonders within those limitations. If Purslow doesn't understand that he can f*ck off.

I have never bought the idea that Xabi didn't want to go last season but was so humiliated by Rafa's determination to sell him that he decided to leave anyway.

You raise questions concerning value, worth and price which I think are fully dealt with earlier in the thread

Silva is a small name, so is Villa

I expect you meant to say f***cking pointless semantics?

Oh well Mr Ferguson your comments are noted - jolly good luck I say and let the best team win!

A stable relationship then

Just call him Alberto

Maybe the CPS were concerned about how it might look if Gerrard were the only one involved who didn't have charges brought and hoped he would roll over like a good boy?

Don't understand why they broadcast whole games either - highlights would be enough for old games

Its the TLW effect

yeah and he b****ed up the first shot - the useless fecker!

I don't know what to make of these ugly rumours

I'd give the goatie one more season

It brings on many changes.

I'm no apologist for Moores but last time I looked the club was still going. Did I miss the destruction?

Bit harsh? We never declined in the same way as others eg the Mancs who got relegated and look at Forest and Leeds - ok much smaller clubs. But we stayed in touch with the leaders throughout , won trophies including a treble and Houllier and then Benitez were brought to the club under his watch. It could have been a lot worse.
