    I think the mancs have got a decent deal for a 30 year old forward past his prime. The key is who they replace him. People on this forum have been talking about the mancs suppossed decline since it's inception and still we have only finished above them once in that time.

    In The Independent it says that Arsenal will spend £10m of the Cole fee on Benayoun.

    it's all very well saying fans should not worry about transfer fees but it does not stop us taking the p**s out of other clubs when we think they over pay e.g. mancs and ferdinand, veron, rooney etc... newcastle and owen chelsea and everyone

    I don't think Pennant is a bad player but I'm a bit underwhelmed to be honest. If the reported £6m+ is correct then I think we have overpaid, especially in the same week as Duff goes for £5m.

    Arsenal 91!!!!! Christ we probably have a half a dozen teams better than that Arsenal team, the mancs will have a few, as will Arsenal themselves. Our 1987/88, 1978/79 & 1984/84 teams were all better than Arsenal 91 team and that's just off the top of my head.
