  1. it was Beardsley but Spackman was excellent that night
  2. I'd rather take him now and worry about Madrid later. If Madrid still want him in 3 years time, he'll have been successful here. Maybe new coaches will have emerged by then as there does not seem to be many suitable candidates now. but Moyes could be available soon so that muddies the waters somewhat
  3. Gomez and Alisson not with the players on the morning walk. https://twitter.com/grizzkhan/status/1756273860406636886?s=61&t=-eMdGsu3hrHvSHXA3ZGwvg
  4. found this interesting I don't watch much German football so exactly how Leverkusen play is news to me conclusion: it would be a stretch with our squad to play in the same way

  6. we battered Everton in 1989, should never have gone into extra time or have been close
  7. I knew we'd pay the price for overplaying him

  10. I would like to get to one more Jurgen final but at least I've got the home games to look forward to.
  11. unsuccessful - bugger 4049 on waiting list
  12. not had mine yet

  15. I would say in the likes of Bowen, Kudus, Ward Prowse and Paqueta (I know he's injured) there is plenty of decent attacking talent.

  19. could never marry an Aussie
  20. I would say 5th for Spurs is over-performing. I'd expect us, City and Arsenal to be above them as we have better squads. I'd expect Chelsea, Mancs and Newcastle to be ahead of them due the money they have spent on transfers/wages. So, I'd say 7th is par for Spurs I don't really want their manager though. Not sure who I want apart from Klopp
  21. the fact that Ljinders is leaving to pursue his managerial career means he must have been told by FSG he's not in the running to succeed Jurgen. that surprises me that he's been discounted so quickly, makes me think they know exactly who they want and have already spoken to them
  22. he used very specific language that didn't rule it out if it isn't Xabi, I'm struggling to think of anybody else that I'd want
  23. Nagelsman is a massive fraud. I'd rather have Moyes.
  24. the main difference between Dalglish and Klopp resignations (apart from the immediacy) is Klopp is leaving a much stronger/younger squad for his successor than Dalglish did. it is going to have. knock on effect to summer transfers and how attractive we are as a club to players. Klopp was a massive part of us enticing players to join.
  25. I'm old enough to remember Dalglish resigning. This is worse.
