Been following the Vancouver games online as me and the missus harbour ambitions of moving there in a few years and it interests me that they're a brand new side (kind of).

Arsenal/Arsene Wenger will never be as successful as they/he was in their hey day because he's turned far too puritanical with a bunch of players who aren't, and will never be, good enough. Would say they're on a par with Villarreal but with far bigger egos.

To be fair, Johnson hasn't been put under any pressure whatsoever. And that ball he played through to Young, though pretty tasty, was made easier by the fact that Danny Collins forgot he was supposed to be a professional footballer. Feel sorry for Ramsey, far too young, far too un-fit and only ever has two passing options available to him. Speed has got this categorically wrong. But, I guess his resources aren't exactly great. Also, we have 4 Premiership players in the XI and Ledley, who plays for Celtic. Got Eardley, Vaughan and Gabbidon on the bench too. In an ideal world we'd be able to field Bale/Ramsey/Vaughan/Bellamy then with Ramsey behind some clogger up front, but this ain't no ideal world.

Suarez Agger Spearing

Think that it'll be 4-3-3, Meireles will track back to help out Spearing and Lucas. Our strongest side apart from Gerrard.

Team: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Skrtel, Spearing, Lucas, Meireles, Suarez, Kuyt, Carroll.

If Carragher's tackle was bad, that was absolutely f****** atrocious.

I wouldn't trust Arsenal to not get beaten up by a 5 year old.

United are going to win the title by default. Arsenal are too busy fighting with their demons. Spurs and City don't even want to compete and Chelsea are coming on to form too late.

Half the squad is knackered, the other half is injured. Pretty happy just to consolidate 6th and build some momentum amongst the team.

Have a feeling that the Utd. - Chelsea game will decide the title. Think if Chelsea go out, perversely, they'll stand a better chance of getting the title. Whereas if they qualify, I think they'll put all their eggs in that basket. Hoping that City knock Utd. out of FA Cup, Chelsea win league and then a sound Barcelona drubbing in the final of the CL for good measure. I hate it when the run in to the season is dominated by Utd. in my thoughts.

Can see logic of putting Spearing on, gave Meireles (in theory) more freedom to drift forward. Would have shoved Pacheco and the Greek on as well, but oh well.

But Carroll will make us dangerous from set plays again. Suarez can produce something from nothing, but that's not to say that Carroll won't weigh in with his fair share. Up until now we've only really had Kyrgiakos as an aerial threat. Now we have two of him.

Has Jovanovic fallen off the face of the Earth? If Pudsey Cole and Poulsh** deserve a shot, then surely so does the Snake? When was the last time he played? Blackpool?
