  1. Well thats a whole different debate all together. Put it this way, I would have loved to have seen Owen and Ngog upfront with Gerrard back in midfield OR Owen playing with Gerrard.
  2. Because it was a stupid decision to get him in the first place?
  3. Yes it has
  4. 1. Is there a media circus at United? And even if it was, shouldn't Rafa be able to handle that anyway? I don't think that would have been the case here, it's 2. He's on a free, He's hardly been injured since he joined United, but it wasn't as if he would be playing week in week out. Who would you rather have Owen or that c*** Voronin? 3. Because he didn't 4. Yes he is, but Voronin is still a massive f***ing c***
  5. Well hasn't the fact we've been keeping the shape of the team been one of our biggest downfalls this season?
  6. Since when was the support on here a barometer? There was genuine amazement because of his links with Liverpool IMO. He isn't all that of course, but beggers can't be chooses, we can't go around saying we have no money, but refuse to take back genuine quality. Unless you can name someone that matches the 3 criteria I mentioned before, then I don't see why we didn't get Owen back. With quality players around him,who knows what he could have achieved had he came back here. But no, we are stuck with Andriy f***ing Voronin, he got rid of Keane but he still won't get rid of this f***ing c***
  7. He has only been bobbins because he played for Newcastle and the obvious injuries. His scoring record still speaks for itself though. He matched all the criteria 1. Experienced proven PL goal scorer 2. Cheap 3. Will play second fiddle to Torres and we f***ing kept Voronin. Michael Owen on a free is a no brainer, considering we went and got that f***ing c*** Voronin, and we only have ourselves to blame for that t**.
  8. If we had signed Owen and he turned out to score 20 goals a season, then he would win and he wouldn't be getting nailed on here. Had he turned out to be s***, then he would get s*** for it, you live and die by your decisions. Owen on a free was and still is a no brainer.
  9. His wages are the sticking point, we are paying him far too much, and other clubs simply can't match it.
  10. Should never have been bought, should never have been brought back!

  12. Who gives a s*** Andy? You know how much I loved Owen you where there at the FA Cup Final with me. I am gutted he went to United, but more gutted he didn't sign for us again.
  13. Well then name a striker who we could buy if we had the money, who would better or guarantee you Ngog's return who would also play 2nd fiddle to Torres? It isn't going to happen, the fact we have got that f***ing utter s*** Voronin and United have Owen is criminal IMO. Ngog has done very well.
  14. What did you expect him to do Andy? United or Hull? I hate him now just as much as the next person, but I still think we could have got him back.
  15. Remember we could have got Owen on a free and had we not completely f***ed up the Keane transfer then we would have that striker. The sort of players we now need are now playing for clubs above us. You are not going to get a good enough striker for £20 Million or even £10 Million who will play second fiddle to Torres. Owen was the ideal solution. We had defensive cover with Hyypia but we f***ed that up as well.
  16. Sure about that?
  17. No I didn't
  18. Thats all well and good, but where you expecting it to be this bad?
  19. At what point does that take into consideration the quality of the squad he has, and the time he has had?
  20. I expected a title challenge, and what we've got is s***. We didn't overachieve last year, not by any stretch we where the best side in the league man for man, our results proved this. Perhaps had we really went full pelt in November/December we might have won it, and had we not completely cocked up the Keane situation then, well...It's all ifs and buts. People say we have the best squad man for man in the league, then how the hell can you over-achieve by finishing 2nd?
  21. It's all about the money isn't it? You know when we finished 2nd last year, we managed very well without Torres and Gerrard in some of our biggest games of the season. When we where playing the best football we have played in a long time post 4-1 v United, was the interest payments or what not an issue then? This summer we replaced Alonso with Aquilani, Arebloa with Johnson and United spent only a fraction of the money they got for the 'best player in the world'. All but City and Spurs strengthened. Yes it would have been nice to have more investment in the squad, but the we should be doing alot better with what we have. I don't know what people want really, I remember when SOS got set up we had fans saying that 'We all wanted a suagr Daddy' but with this 'net spend' posts I believe people won't be happy until we get investment on the scale of city. It isn't going to happen. This money argument is very obtuse IMO. Very few of our problems can be pin pointed on net spend, it doesn't absolve Benitez of the blame of not fielding a £20 Million player despite him being fit, it doesn't absolve him of a disastrous CL Campaign and league Campaign. I know all about the money issues regarding the manager, but lets not pretend he is starved of quality the squad we have now is pretty much identical to the one we had last year. The league was ours to win but we lost it, our rivals didn't really strengthen over the summer and granted we may have lost Alonso, but United lost the best player in the world, arguably. I mentioned this before, we pay Benitez £5 Million a year for the privalage of managing our football club, the fact that because his net spend is low doesn't absolve him of any responsibility. FWIW I don't have a problem with the notion of net spend, I understand it etc but I just think it's an over used excuse, it's used as an excuse for all our problems the fact he's been here 5 years and we have been playing football akin to that of something Sam f***ing Allardyce churns out is pretty depressing. Tell me, was net spend a problem when we beat United 4-1, Madrid 4-0 and looked as if we would go onto win the league after last year?
  22. Don't ask me to retrieve the quote but I remember him saying he did want to play him LM.
  23. eeee get you. Anyway, I'm not a football simpleton. I just don't think Rafa over-achieved at Valencia. Thats not to say he didn't achieve.
  24. Nah he might get injured
