We look like we could do with a couple of natural right mids, iIF the purse strings are a little tight surely a back-up player who is available on a free and is still a decent player who could do a job for a couple of seasons would be reasonable.

I don't think he was happy with the contract offer, specifically the signing on fee and length, if I recall......Besides he would only have been a stop gap until the "right" player became available.
