There was talk before the last Wales game that Toshack was going to hand him a full cap, so that he couldn't play for England in the future. If he did get his first cap as a 17y.o. he'd be following in the illustrious path of legendery Wales Sweeper Ryan Green, who according to Bobby Gould was deserving of 3 caps.

Linked to us apparently. Also the youngest player to ever play for Wales U-21s.

Know anything about him Gray?

I've not seen him myself to be honest as Derby's home games have clashed with our games this season.

From what I've read and heard he's pretty comfortable on the ball, quick and mobile. He's very highly rated, but to be honest I think the only reason he's currently in the media spotlight is cos Derby have recently played Cardiff away, so the Welsh journos who never leave the valleys had pretty much their first look at him (apart from the U21's) and he had a bit of a blinder.

I had heard his name before this season, and since making his debut he's been first choice, keeping out Derby's club captain Michael Johnson (saying that, I don't rate Johnson one little bit!). Derby have sent back Emerson Thome from a loan deal early because of his form.

To be honest, I'm a touch suprised he's broken in at centre half, as I was told he would make an impact at full back first. He's saying all the right things, and Phil Brown seems to rate him very highly.

I'll have to get myself down to Pride Park to have a look for myself.
