13 Years On...

13 years on, our love affair is still going on,

And its been quite a journey.

I still remember the first time I heard your name,

My heart felt a familiar feeling,

That one feels when they're at home.

At opposite ends of the earth,

Chances to see you weren't a dearth,

And I resorted to desperate measures,

To get to know you better.

With each passing day, my affection for you grew,

Soon turning into obsession, it baffled quite a few.

what's so special they asked,

Why this one they asked,

the only answer I could give,

Was that you don't choose the one you love,

You're chosen...

Years have gone by,

The love and obsession kinda make me high,

Every second of every minute of every hour of every day,

All my heart says,

"Liverpool FC: there's no one else like you.."

From reading games on the bbc,

To making people keep their phones near the telly,

To flying thousands of miles just for a 90 min game,

Its been a pleasure doing it all!

From writing to banks to get rid of GH,

To contacting random brits for the petition,

Its been quite an eye opener..

13 years on I still feel the same,

Crazy silly obsessive compulsive anything else you can name

Just one dream still remains unfulfilled,
