so I viewed this house yesterday, I called today to make an offer

 

the agent called me to say that they have accepted my offer, and the sellers have also accepted an offer for the same value from someone else

 

now he's telling me that they'll make me the preferred buyer, and take the house off the market if I go with their solicitor (who cost £1000 more than the one I usually go with) , otherwise, the seller is happy for both buyers to go head to head and see who completes his papers first!
