John Carew's new tattoo

Just read today that John Carew just got a new tattoo on his back but it's quite unfortunate.

 

He went in wanting a tattoo with the French passus 'Ma vie - Mes Régles', thinking it means 'My life - my rules' - in itself an okay statement.

 

But unfortunately his French has let him down. The accent on Règles is the wrong way around and it now says - brace yourself: 'My life - my menstruation'.

 

He apparently refused to take questions about it after the international yesterday and apparently got angry when asked.

 

He is now claiming it's on purpose and that it's "much deeper than anyone can understand".

Not so apparently, the word for rules and period/mensturation are the same. His tatoo is just spelt wrong
