This club over the last 2-3 years has become a farce. A real laughing stock in the football world. False promises from cowboy owners led to a talented and loved manager looking like a prima donna narcissist in the media. Pathetic court cases to get our club back and even more pathetic manager appointments. Sacking a manager 6 months in to his tenure. Paul Konchesky at left back. Transfer requests from adored players. This has to stop. Let Torres go. Sot everyone down in the dressing room and ask. Anyone want to follow him cause now is your chance. This is Liverpool Football Club. Not some circus where you can roll in, get the adoration and love from the fans and then turn around and break their hearts. Either you are in or you are out. Because despite the fact that you all think that you are Gods and deserve the effection of those amazing fans the fact is this Football Club is about them. Not you. If you don't realise that. f*** OFF. They have lost greater players than you could ever be and supported players that have come in to replace them with the same intensity and passion as they have shown you. This football club will move on.

But here is the thing. We NEED to start doing that now. Not in the summer. Not when a permanent manager comes in or whatever. It has to be now. It is never a good time for this Club to be anything other than an absolute beacon of excellence in world sport. We have to get back to that. And with Kenny here we will. If these players dont want to row in they can go. Simple. I am sick of the new Liverpool Football Club. They are everything I used to laugh at and snigger at when looking at other clubs. It is simply not out way and it is breaking hearts and tainting passion. We need this to change.

Hopefully not a formation thread. It's just a feeling of mine over the last 18 months or so. It's not a whole lot of fun supporting Liverpool anymore. Too much drama.

the danger is we end up with loads of players 100% committed to the cause, but no good at football

True.

Just by the sheer amount of money available, one huge factor is removed from players incentive to remain in post. First sign of any bother or hardship, they can jet off somewhere else without too much thought for consequences. Winning seems to be the best defence against players wanting out, but I'm doubtful any player is ever 100% committed.

I am in the same vein of thought. I know too much about the clubs background business, it is only now that this is so. For 30 odd years I have been content to watch us play without knowing who is doing what in the boardroom. Lets get back to the game and get some enjoyment back. Players will always come and go, maybe we are wrong expecting them to stay

:applause: well said, exactly how I feel.

During the Hodgson days, I stood shellshocked on the Kop wondering what had happened to my beloved club, watching s**** football played by half hearted players. Time to turn this around.

I think Torres leaving increases the chance of Kenny not getting the job permanently.

He needs to play this right. He needs to do a Keegan when he sold Andy Cole - he has to tell the fans this is his choice, on his terms, at his price, he'll spend the money and we have to trust him. Keegan can have loads of sh*t thrown at him for his managerial qualities but he dealt with that brilliantly - and replaced him with Ferdinand (and Asprilla?) then Shearer.

One of the reasons Kenny was brought in was to stabilise the situation (the one Hodgson was meant to) and keep the star players; Torres was said to idolise him. A number of people are said to have convinced Torres to stay at the club over the past couple of years - Kenny can't be the one to lose him. He needs to tell us he'll use the money for a new Houghton-Beardsley-Aldridge-Barnes axis.

We need to become like Ajax or Arsenal and focus on youth and the team rather than superstar/big name players. Especially over the next 2-3 years. Signing the best players will be hard without CL but the best young players 18-22 like Hazard, Lukaku etc would definitely be gettable as they would be getting more playing time.

The club needs a long term vision and plan running from the youth teams to the first XI - we need our identity back, we need LFC back , pass & move back, not just the Gerrard and Torres show! I think we're on our way and can't wait to see what KK and FSG do.

i can't think of any players in the same quality standards that is out there at the moment to

Houghton - Beardsley - Aldrige - Barnes

(?) - (?) - Suarez - (?)

We need owners living in this country for a start. They need to get a feel for the club and fans first hand and not via an advisor or such. I am always wary of advisors as they can put their own spin on things for their own benefit. We need a CEO tomorrow and we need to make the managers job permanent. If not Kenny then just say someone has agreed but cannot name them yet. The club is drifting and it needs a captain, a first mate and a rudder.

odds on this turning into a formation thread???

We need to stop buying players first, so we know WHO we've got before we work out where we're putting them
