Afternoon,

i've managed to get tickets for this game, my first game since the Arsenal Carling cup defeat a few years ago. I'm bringing two of my lads up and the wife. Were hoping to get to Liverpool around lunch time ish and wondered where a good place to park will be? I've parked in the school on Utting Ave before but as it's been a while since i've been up, i wondered if anything had changed? I've read some people suggest the Asda on the way in, do they not clamp people that are obviously using it for match days? Any help would be great.

Thanks

Cheers John, whats the chances of the school being open around lunch time you think? Also, is there anywhere nice to take the kids for somewhere to eat?

hmm slim to be honest with you

If you are looking to park up round Anfield that early i would park here

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?hl=en&safe=off&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=power+league+liverpool&fb=1&gl=uk&hq=power+league&hnear=Liverpool,+Merseyside&cid=5052596135270874426

nice and secure and not a long walk

There is nowhere nice to take the kids for something to eat in Anfield. Personally i'd go into the city centre for the afternoon rather than get there so early

had a lovely day thanks mate, felt like a right day tripper :P

went to frankie and Benny's on edge lane, had a nice meal. Our eldest Lewis thought it was great that we'd been to Liverpool and had a meal. Thought that was the whole suprise  How easily pleased they are.. parked up (opposite stanley park in the end ) put the kids shirts on. "Why do we need these dad?" "Well boys, everyone else is doing it, so thought we better." "Ah ok Dad.."

not a word. Walking up to Anfield they go crazy at just seeing the sight of it. Saw Torres by the team bus, gave everyone a wave. Saw Skrtel too. Kids were loving it. We went to the shop. got a couple of bits, programmes etc.

"kids, did you set the box to record the game btw" i say, "no dad, you didn't tell us too". Oh well :/ guess we'll have to see if we can find somewhere to watch it. Got the tickets out and they erupted with joy, it's was a brilliant moment, something i'd looked forward too for many a year.

Got some scarves from across the road as a keepsake and went to find our gate.

The boys had a superb time, got stuck in with a few chants and songs. Youngest (Rhys) didn't like the noise levels at times (and it was a quiet crowd i thought, certainly not as loud as i've heard).

Few picis on FB if you haven't seen them, nothing of great quality of the game (only took the small camera).

didn't see FYDS in the car park either ffs
