Is smoking a pipe a thing of the past?

I think it must be. My dad smokes one and has for as long as I can remember. He's 65 now and certainly smoked it when I was a nipper so he was obviously smoking one when he was in his early 30's and possible before. I like the smell of it but it's definitely an old man's smell now.

 

I mean, in this day and age, at what age would it become acceptable for a man to start smoking a pipe? I just can't see it. I don't smoke at all but I can just see the reaction of people if I was to start puffing away on a pipe at the ripe old age of 36.

 

Do any of you do it or plan to do it later?
