My dad

he is 84 and got taken ill last week, in hospital with pneumonia

 

anyway, he purchases the Setanta tv package so he can watch the game at his bedside

 

Pompey go 2-1 up, and the nurse comes over and sees the score and starts taking the piss......a manc, saying how she loves Rafa....and he is lost it etc etc.....winding my dad up

 

when Tog scores, he presses the call button.....a nurse comes, and my dad says

 

"Tell that other one...Marie isnt it? Liverpool have won in the last minute and are top of the league..."

 

my neice, who got there just after said the nurse was avoiding coming near his bed!

I was hospital when Utd played Juve at home in the 1st leg of the CL Semi Final in 1999.

 

Juve had the away goal and in the last min Giggs scored an equaliser just as the nurse has doing an eye exam.

 

She was face to face and I could hear the commentary. I let an unholy howling spat and the nurse walked away.

 

 

I never noticed until a relative at the bed side said I should give a very sincere apology.

 

 

 

 

So Anny, I can understand where your olde man is coming from

he rang me straight after the final whistle....he was trying to seek out who were enemies in the beds around him by telling them Torres has scored...he thinks the blioke opposite is a Manc...if I were him, I wouldnt sleep
