Update on Alonsos and Mascheranos injuries

Anyone heard anything ?

 

According to Marca Xabi has not broken anything and hope to be back in training very very soon. He might play against Stoke.

 

Is there any news about Mascherano. I am confused. Did he get injured against Preston or was he just taken off as precaution?

Masch was holding the back of his thigh before he got taken off. Looked like a bit of a pull.

Hearing whispers that Alonso has a bad cut - six stitches and bad bruising. No signs of any breakage but wont find out untill scan. If not bone damage prob out for 7-10 days.

The Guardian today says that Xabi only has extensive bruising around the cut he suffered against Preston, rather than anything more serious. Apparently he was able to do some light jogging yesterday, but is rated doubtful for Sat's match against Stoke.
