I think Barry might have made a difference, but the other 2 would probably have flopped by now and they'd be the subject of the whingeing that's currently focused on Babel, Benayoun, Kuyt, etc.

 

A different position? Would that be something like 8th with 4 points instead of 2nd with 7 points? Maybe in the UEFA Cup instead of the European Cup and so on?

I don't think it would be a lot different. It's more to do with our approach to games than the personnel at the moment. I think these players you list are all good but certainly not in the same league as our best players with whom we still struggle to challenge. Players can't keep winning games on their own.
