Went to Craven cottage last night to watch this. A truely dreadful game. It left me wondering if this current Ireland team are capable of getting to another tournament anytime soon.

The highlight of the evening has to be the Columbian female supporters.

Ireland were truly dire last night, particularly at the back. Columbia were barely interested but still played Ireland off the park. They were dreadful on Saturday night too.

 

Liam Miller & Paul McShane are light years away from being international standard.

 

However, to throw a modicum of optimism out there, it was a crappy end of season game and Ireland didn't have Andy Reid, Damien Duff, Stephen Hunt or Stephen Reid available. Also we may add Finnan & Stephen Ireland to potential players to come back in.

 

Given the serious, serious lack of depth available to Trappatoni, those players would be missed in any Ireland game.

They are pretty poor at the minute. They could do another grandmother rule recruitment, as Big Jack done, but there isnt even enough International class players like Jack had.
