Is it just me that thinks this kid is well over rated?? I see nothing special in him at all. Out of the 2 Argentinians that West Ham had i'm glad we ended up with Masch.

 

Interested to hear the Mancs opinions.

He is a good player, but not worth anything like the £30m

 

Cresp, Aguro and Messi are much better players IMO

 

It might be also worth looking at Zarate

Think he's class and would be excellent at Liverpool off Torres

 

The mancs problem is that they have 2 Tevez types and no Torres type. But they have good enough players to work around that.

 

I've been having this conversation with mancs a bit and they say that they don't need a line leader and the league table proves it. My view is that the table is like that in spite of now having a line leading centre forward, rather than because of it.

I agree with all you said. I think we need a line leader like RVN even if its just to mix things up, variation. Both Tevez and Rooney come too deep for the ball at the same time. Its worked out ok so far this season but there have been games when we have been a bit stagnant and an up front striker who can head the ball would have made a breakthrough.

Its a good point but if you have a Tevez types just off the main striker then i think that Rooney is a much better player. Tevez is a decent player no doubt but with all the hoopla and cost surrounding him i expected a lot more

 

Thank feck the Mancs did not sign Torres.

who compared them? Zarate is only 21 though and all I said that it worth looking at him in the future!

Its no secret we wanted him. But thats in the past.

 

Saha will go this summer and we will be linked with every striker in the world bar Crouch, Voronin and Kuyt.

 

Oh and gack, I think you will find that it is just you. ;)

Who is out there to come in and be the focal point of your attack though. I don't see Berbatov fitting the system. What are the options? Villa?

I think they have already signed the striker from Angola (forgot his name and not bothered enough to look!) and they have a decent young striker on loan at hull (Campbell) so they might not buy a big name striker

Villa will go to Arsenal.

 

I would not want Berbatov, Lyon wont sell us Benzema. Not to sure about Huntleer.

Both Berbatov and Etoo could work, in completely different ways. Personally think a back to goal striker might be better for you.

 

I think there's a sring likelihood Berbatov will end up there

Saw quite a bit of the angolan during the ANC. He's pretty good, a lot of potential as a target man.

Would love us to get Eto at liverpool, might have to go back to 442 but Eto and torres with Gerrard behind them would be great, might even work with Babel behind them and a midfield trio of gerrard, Masch and Barry
