But for the injury I think Torres would have started versus Barnsley. Rafa's scared for his job and a FA Cup win may be a must. He'll be rested for Inter.

 

What may have been interesting is if Rafa wasn't as fearful, Torres hadn't been made a "God" by fans and the other 3 strikers weren't crap... would Rafa have just played Crouch up front on his own against Inter away?

Crouch is made for Barnsley. He always tends to well against the s*** teams, and struggle against the better teams where he has less time and space eg. vs Terry.

I think it will be very unlikely Torres will be risked against Barnsley.

We need to make sure he is definitely fit for Inter.

Think Torres might, and should, get 30 mins at the end. For the sake of a bit of match sharpness. Hopefully not because we need a goal. Yossi will probably have his hat trick by then anyhow.

Once he Rafa put a timeframe of a week on his rest period before the Chelsea game then it was almost a certainty that he wouldnt figure vs Barnsely, especially considering the couple of set backs we had with players back early

 

It will be interesting who does figure upfront - if either of Kuyt or Crouch is left on the bench with Babel partnering one or the other would be a very good indicator I would think.

I'm starting to doubt whether we'll ever see Insua apart from on trips to that lovely place called Warrington.

 

He's look the s*** everytime I've seen him and its clear left back is a tragic area of our team, he's certainly worth a place against these dykes or whatever them are nicknamed for sure
