Tyler Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Looked like it took all of his self control not to punch merson this evening when merson was laughing at west ham goal merson is a f*cking joke
Guest RedLegend Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Poor Thommo looked absolutely sick. I thought he was either going to cry of chin that prick Merson. They really are taking the píss out of Thommo these days on Sky. Must be torture for him going in there.

Ethan Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I wait for the day where I meet Paul Merson face to face - I won't show any control - fukin crackhead
Barnesy_10 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 when I saw the title of this thread I thought it might have been about the suggestion we got him in as Assistant.... then I warmed to the idea... might drill some sense into the f***ing team..
MFletcher Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Thommo cares about the club. Some of our players would do well to look to him when he was playing as an example of how to apply yourself fully.
shanks59 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) How thommo can allow that fat dwarf stelling to continuously berate him, and us, is beyond me Edited January 30, 2008 by shanks59
R A Softlad Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Why reward a f***in smackhead by building him up to think he knows anything about footy. Thommo should have t****** him.
gkmacca Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Thommo cares about the club. Some of our players would do well to look to him when he was playing as an example of how to apply yourself fully. Hear hear!
big mark Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Merson was acting like a prick towards Thommo Laughing in his face so childish and its not the first time either. You could tell on Thommos face he was hurting inside.
Guest mick the baker Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Wasnt thommo the one who told houllier to stay away from ronaldo after he went to watch him.
Skillz Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The way we are playing at the moment I think Rafa should get people like Thommo, Kenny, Aldo etc to come in and give them a dressing down on what is required.
madaboutlfc Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Wasnt thommo the one who told houllier to stay away from ronaldo after he went to watch him.who gives a s*** who stayed away or not.. the guy is a proper liverpool legend who bleeds for it..
muleskinner Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The way we are playing at the moment I think Rafa should get people like Thommo, Kenny, Aldo etc to come in and give them a dressing down on what is required. Any semblance of respect or authority the manager has with the players would be gone the moment any of them walked into the dressing room.
kop88 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Merson is a f***in waste of oxygen, a total and utter Grade A 100% pure unfiltered c***. Dirty Alky coke head a******.But the sad thing is, we as a club are giving s****hawks like merson and all the other bell ends, all the ammunition they need to fire at us. We are not doing ourselves any favours here. Its a f***ing embarassment.
Guest calvoboy Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Wasnt thommo the one who told houllier to stay away from ronaldo after he went to watch him. No - They both went to watch him. Thought he was a good prospect. Had a deal in principle. Then Utd came in and bid three times what we were thinking of paying. Houllier and Thommo thought they were paying over the odds (even if we had the cash to match them, which was not certain) so decided not to match the bid.
Bigal Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Heard that Thommo hates soccer saturday and all them lot, they take the piss out of him for being so liveprool biased. Charlie Nicholas, Paul merson all arent biased apparently. f*** off.
Gerry Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Paul Merson had to have his £300K flat repossessed a few weeks ago because of mounting debts due to his alcohol+gambling problem. He's had to move back in with his parents. And one of his teeth fell out live on TV whilst doing Sky Sports News. Karma.
stonty Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 They've spent all their poxy lives in our wake & now they can smell the blood of the wounded animal they're revelling in our torment. Its not nice & it really f*cks me off big time as the wound is self inflicted
Tyler Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 great to see a former liverpool player/manager have so much love for the club he looked genuinely wounded last night c*nts like houghton, lawrenson etc could learn from him do you think he could do a job managing us?
johngibo YPC Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 do you think he could do a job managing us? not personally

If Rafa was to go before the end of the season, Thommo could do a decent job as caretaker. Maybe.
Tyler Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 his record when he took over wasn't bad either considering the team we had at the time Thompson's record in a 34-game spell reads as follows: Won 17, Drawn 12, Lost 5, Goals For 51, Goals Against 25. There have been 16 clean sheets in those 34 games, home and away wins against Manchester United, a 4:0 victory over Leeds at Elland Road, and a 6:0 mauling of Ipswich Town at Portman Road. An astonishingly good record for a rookie manager. Liverpool also became the first English team ever to win in Kiev in what was Thommo's first game in charge though that victory owed much to the players' resolve to 'win it for Gerard'.
Guest GrandpaSimpson Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Thing is that it was over 5 years ago.
