Ongoing Shows of Fan Dissent are Essential

Maybe its my naivete, but I still have some belief and hope in Gillett. I think if Hicks had approached us on his own, the clowns would have given them his marching orders. In essence, he has used Gillett to weasel his way in.

You can go way back and Hicks has always been a two faced, underhanded, businessman, who wants the biggest return for the least possible investment and has exploited institutions, when he has had the chance. Things about Gillett promote belief. Things like, after he went bankrupt he paid back every penny he owed to people. His attempts to build sports instead of just exploit them. And the bloke is plain likeable, to the extent I don't think its all front.

Thats why I think ongoing displays from us fans is capable of producing a result. Push that wedge in deeper between Hicks and Gillett.

i just dont see the masses getting behind what we all say on forums,

im irish, and admit im a liverpool fanatic, and the amoutn of liverpool fans i talk to over here that havent got a clue about whats going on is truly scary

i honestly belive, the only way to get the message across is for tabloids to do a full week of G&H bashing, the average joe reads tabloids, and the message would get across, as only a handful of us actually use forums

then, maybe, and only maybe could you actually get a sustained effort to get rid of the yanks

so i suppose if anyone has any friends involved in the newspaper game, nows the time to call in a favour

look at the LFCSN site

this is as much an awareness-raising campaign as a call to arms - previously, the agends was one-sided (the official version only - proven to be a lie now)

you will hopefully see thousands of leaflets at the ground soon

the journalists will also see them and slowly, exposure will grow and people will support the campaigns aimed at driving out G and H

and the journalists are being briefed constantly by the professional PR men in the organisation, but these things take time

keep the faith - you'll see evidence of the tide turning soon

So that Gillett get scared off and sells his share, and we go no further forward in this ordeal.

Yeah, that'll work.

If Hicks and Gillett have in fact put their dodgey start to an end then I'm willing to forget about it altogether. they've unveiled the plans for a massive stadium and in the next 2 daysw they will hopefully announce the signing of mascherano on a perminent basis.

Those will have been 2 signs of a better attitude from the owners. Another major step would be in giving Rafa extended support. Then perhaps a major signing in the summer.

who knows, however I won't be up in arms until I see them step out of line again.

they will. When they show people that they can infact learn to adapt to the english premiership and liverpools general tradition rather than try and force us to adapt to them. I can't help but feel that Hicks in the only problem though. I've heard a few good things about Gillet from montreal candians fans...

My opinion hasn't really changed on Hicks, however I am willing to give him another chance. He has a lot of sucking up to do if he ever wants to be welcome backl in his own stadium again.

You're happy about their blatant lies?

Further dissent, boycotts etc are now only counter productive.

Hicks realises he has made mistakes but so has Rafa

Its been announced that Hicks intends to allow Rafa to complete his contract and maybe beyond.

Rafa will now only lose his job if results continue to be poor and he loses support of fans - which is how it should be for all managers.

Club has to service debt which was foregone conclusion when Moores/Parry sold club to Americans instead of DIC. (Parry kept his job, Moores got extra £8m and life time seat on board.)

As Club needs to find £30m a year it is essential from a commercial sense (disregarding a footballing sense) that we not only qualify for CL but allows reach the knock out stages.

Remember no extra revenue will be coming into club until new stadium built and if we progress further into debt Hick/Gillette will be left with a white elephant and lose a lot of money.

Remember Hicks and Co not stupid therefore he has apologised for going public in spate with Rafa ( who did start the public row and hasnt apologised) - So for all our sakes lets just concentrate on uniting behind the team. Hicks, Gillette and Rafa here for all this season and in all probability the next. Therefore lets help keep the team focused and dont give the players any excuses not to perform to the best of their ability.

Forward together - No more exuses and 3-0 tonight would be a good start

This is the biggest load of bs. "Hey guys lets forget about that cancer thats eating away at the club, lets just forget about that so we can win the next few games and maybe all our problems will be wished away".

There is no forward together.

those making excuses for The Invisible Mute & Hicks seem to believe everythings ok cos we've got images of the new stadium, they've come out and backed Rafa, will sign Mascherano and therefore all's well..

from my own part i wish it was that easy to forgive and forget and not worry anymore.. unfortunately it's not..

No-one is making excuses for Hicks; I despise the man. All I am saying is :

i) the jury is out on Gillett, until he makes his position clear;

ii) any disagreement between the owners on how far to take the debt has to be built upon.

For all we know Hicks and Gillett might be playing a good cop/bad cop routine.

mate, while it wasn't you in particular i'd picked up on (just general people on the - seemingly - pro-G&H side) i can respond to your post..

i) i can see why you would say that seeing as he's suffering from being invisible BUT he did, along with Hicks, state that the club would not be saddled with any debt.. that was a lie.. they said the spade would be in ground within 60 days (?).. clearly a lie.. they said they'd spend a wedge to get in the Snoogy Doogy's of this World.. liars!.. they've gone too far, for me, to be given another chance.. i'm seriously fkin torn between the club i love and my principles because, while i want to see them play i don't want to feed them f*****s my money..

ii) i've just noticed you started this thread: i actually agree with your first post - any disagreements there should be forced home until they become irrepairable(?) between them so they do split (from what i've read one can't afford it without the other).. but as The Invisible Man hasn't stated his position we're going off paper talk with that too.. also one can only assume that since he's just signed on the dotted line to keep his hand in with Hicks that he's still in tandem with Hicks' thoughts, so he gets very little benefit of the doubt from me.. very little..

If results hadnt of been so mixed since the Reading game Hicks would not of spoke to Klinsman and Rafa wouldnt of aired his concerns so publicly - Therfore results do colour this debate.

If there is no way forward - what do you want us to do - be relegated???

As often stated club consists of Directors, Manager, players and supporters - in the best teams all are pulling in same direction - so why shouldnt we - enough is enough - Hicks and Co admitt they made mistakes ( and so did Rafa) They have agreed to buy Macherano - thats £75m outlay on players in 6 months and yes I know we have got some back on players but Hicks has given Rafa the money to buy where he wanted. He has also gone on record Rafa's job is safe till end of his contract atleast - Therefore yes lets all move forward together because for me if we end up below bluenoses I would be shouting for quite a few to lose their jobs
