Great display by everyone tonight I thought.

Start pretty slowly but once the chant got around it sounded fantastic.

Parry and Moores both present and looked as glum as ever.

Well done everyone who was there.

Yep i'll second that.

And really liked the words to the chants.

Didn't descend into Anti-american stuff. Just straight and too the point.

Well done everyone.

Parts of the Main Stand, Paddock and Kemlyn joined in.

It sounded excellent. But how long will it be before the players and Rafa to an extent start doing their part ?

To be fair, the club has bigger issues at the minute than an unlucky 2-2 at home to a solid Aston Villa team.

This is true but the team need to start picking up results or we'll be facing a serious battle for 4th, if we're not already.

What are the players going to do? They're contracted to the football club, they're not going to start speaking out radically against their employers.

Or are you talking about starting to win games again?? Thinking about it that'd probably make more sense....

It was heart warming to see how many got into the chanting. The BBC are saying there was no mass protest.

there was no protests outside the ground from what I saw....

I think we did as good as we possibly could tonight.... really felt awesome being there and seeing the song take off...

Some of the banners were good as well.

I don't understand where this rumour of a protest came from? There was a lot of talk, at least online, about the march before the Porto game and that gathered a lot of momentum along with the "As always we are focussing on supporting our manager" banner. But from what I could see or hear there was no such organised protest being talked about anywhere but the newspapers?

It was excellent and seemed to build naturally. I think the media were hoping for violent rages and Sean Dundee's effigies.

The protest was dignified and to the point... something much of the amassed media wouldn't have understood. And interspersed with supportive songs for Benitez and the team - I sent a text out highlighting it was a protest but with the spirit of "as always we are concentrating on supporting our manager".

Shame it takes something like this to generate a decent atmosphere. And it died the second they got the equaliser.

It was absolutely boss tonight.

And I have a funny feeling that Brian Reade's column on Saturday will be giving it a big mention as he was bouncing in the middle of 306 and looked made up with it.

By doing their part, I meant on the pitch.

When more than one person stands up and says Rafa out the BBC and Sky will report it as a Mass protect :rolleyes:

I dunno... maybe making up an absolutely massive banner with 'This is Anfield' on it to remind our team and the teams that visit exactly what we're all about.

I wasn't at the game last night but managed to catch it on the telly. The chants were Boss, lets hope they got noticed in the board room.
