There have been some pretty big scorelines in the Premiership this year. Plenty of thrashings have been handed out, but also a fair few high scoring games as well.

 

What's the reason behind this? Are teams attacking better or defending worse? In previous years teams would often be happy with a 1-0 or 2-0 scoreline, but this year is there perhaps a bit more willingness to go and kill of the oppostion with a big scoreline?

Wrong. It's a couple of extra odd scorelines that slant the bigger picture. People like you with Sky generation goldfish memory syndrome can't see that there's no precedent over the last few seasons.
