Getting Married in New York

...December the 14th in Central Park we're tying the knot.

We thought about a few places like Cape Town (our first choice but family wouldn't come after the BBC News article on the crime in South Africa), Thailand (people didn't fancy spending 3 nights in Bangkok), Cuba, Sicily and Sri Lanka but settled on The Big Apple in the end for one reason or another.

Might be a bit chilly like, but very excited about the prospect - I've always fancied New York myself for when I eventually got wed. We're going to have a celebration in England as well because a lot of family and friends won't be able to come; the down side is it's all mighty bloody expensive!

Wedding photos in Times Square etc should be a great memory though, really looking forward to it. Any suggestions from those who know New York for somewhere posh for a post wedding meal would be accepted gratefully. I've been doing my research and have been looking at places like Per Se and Daniel.
