allez les rouges Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 our fans were boss. their fans were c***s. huge ruck in the home end. the team were a good 10 % beleow their usual self. Riise was s***e. I thought rotation made sure that you were fresh for the next game? an away win is always good. but to be honest, we were carrying on from the last 3 games in the league.
Guest Lennon Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Anyone know who our lads were in their end? It looked like their whole stand onto about 4 lads, the snide, plazzy manc rats. One of them took a right pasting, poor sod. Lets hope he took a few pie eaters down with him.
Tommy Cockles Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Got a text from a mate which said: "worth the entrance fee for the proper 80's style kick off in the stand to our left when we scored. Our lot battered them unsurprisingly"
Guest Lennon Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Showed them getting kicked out and pushed down the stairs, with all the woolybacks giving them sly digs. Seen a little kid in there aswell with a red top on.
johngibo YPC Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 they are fuvcking beautsdon't rely on us to sell out your games and then kick off cos we are thereI couldn't tell who got the digs in but running 15 flights of stairs to shout at stewards to throw poeple out is embarassing. Never seen anything like that in a ground small time b*****ds
Guest Ant Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 It was f***ing mental I'll upload a Video in a sec when I can be arsed
Guest Snorky Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 The ruck was the highlight of the game. Crap game, we struggled. Bramble looked a world class defender. We were slow, slower and slowest. There is something wrong, can't put my finger on it, but there is something not right. Ever since the International break we've played like f***in strangers. Hung over bad style.
Guest Lennon Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Not on if our lads were taking the piss, standing up singing, etc. I'd expect the same treatment for a load of pie eaters if they did the same in our stands, but if they were attacked for no reason then they've got every right to defend themselves and give as good as they get.
Guest Ant Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Wigan fans would not get a word said to them at Anfield If it was a bad nobhead maybe, but Wife and Kids and a fella, No f***ing Chance, Not a chance in hell
Moose Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I live in Wigan and I know a load of people who had tickets in the Wigan end who were supporting us, my brother was in there and mentioned someone getting a kicking from about 30 people. He said the wigan fans were a disgrace.

Hung over bad style.True - but we've also lost our two best passers Xabi and Stevie is still not over his injury Pennants been trying too hard to impress instead of doing the basics and going for goldwe've also lost the ability to build slowly from the back having lost Agger But I have to agree with you, that international break came at the wrong time for us and the right time for Arsenal and Man U
Sion Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Not on if our lads were taking the piss, standing up singing, etc. I'd expect the same treatment for a load of pie eaters if they did the same in our stands, but if they were attacked for no reason then they've got every right to defend themselves and give as good as they get.Exactly. I don't know the full story obviously, but if they were sat in the Wigan end obviously cheering on Liverpool they haven't got a leg to stand on. Not saying i'm condoning the fighting, but you can have no excuses, they should know the risks. Wigan fans would not get a word said to them at Anfield If it was a bad nobhead maybe, but Wife and Kids and a fella, No f***ing Chance, Not a chance in hell Was it all familes though? from what I heard there were young scouse lads in the middle of it. If we played Wigan @ Anfield in the CC and tickets were easy to get, they then scored and and a bunch of woolybacks jumped up in the Kop and started cheering you think none of our fans would kick off? I personally wouldn't, but I know there are a section of our fans that wouldn't take kindly at all. As I say I don't know as I wasn't in the middle of it, but if it was young lads taking the piss they have no excuses.
jimmylibel Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I'm getting a little bit worried about Gerrard. It doesn't look like he's unfit or anything but you can tell he's not happy on the pitch at the moment. Doesn't seem to be himself. Not playing with any of his usual dynamism at all.

Of Course, but alot of stuff is coming out of it Lies and Truth, either way the Stewards where slower than God Knows what. I was just talking to my cousin who is born and from Wigan but follows us and was sitting in the West End, saying their was hundreds of Liverpool fans dotted around the ground....Saying abuse was getting hurled too and from. Wouldn't be suprised if they got a good hiding when they come to Liverpool

johngibo YPC Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 There was no singing by the fans in their endthey just jumped up when we scored I don't think this merits being attackedI just saw a loads of Man U fans jump up in a Liverpool pub and i managed not to hurl a glass at them
Guest Lennon Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 (edited) There was no singing by the fans in their endthey just jumped up when we scored I don't think this merits being attackedI just saw a loads of Man U fans jump up in a Liverpool pub and i managed not to hurl a glass at them That's fair enough. It's hard to control yourself in moments like that. Certainly no excuse for the plazzy mancs to attack our lads. They seem to forget that without us and other big clubs buying up the tickets in their end the ground would be empty. Edited September 29, 2007 by Lennon
Dan Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 There was about a 10 minute period after our goal when it was kickin off all round the ground. I was sat under the boxes in Wigan seats and there were loads of reds in there......including our very own Xabi. Didn't play particularly well again but ground out a win. Gerrard is out of sorts, Torres had a howler but Benayoun is looking good. He warrants a start on the right instead of Pennant for me.
Kop_90 Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Season ticket prices for kids is just over £100 for the JJB. Ideal for those who love football and can't get to any of the North West clubs due to high prices and sell out grounds.Loads of kids have season tickets but don't support Wigan as their 1st team. They get to see all the top teams at the JJB as well as their own team.My lad went today on his mates season ticket and warned not to cheer when we scored. He ignored what he was told but not involved in any trouble. Said at least 25% of the fans around him were Red's and all were celebrating the goal.Had this problem for the last few years at Wigan as they never sell out for even the big games, that is unless a local team and away fans buy tickets for the home end. Can't see how they can eject anyone who has paid his money and is not causing any trouble.
Guest Snorky Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 If Wigan stay up, the should allocate away fans half the ground.

He's unhappy being played out of position....oh wait
Guest Ant Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 The place is a s*** hole, their is a band of places between Liverpool and Manchester where people really are confused about wether they are one or the other. Funny thing is they are that confused they will probably be "Chanting" "Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool" when the Mancs come to Wigan When you go to Wigan you do get the impression that the Town really doesn't give a Shiny s*** about the Football Team. From the amount of trains they put on, to the fans they have, and the fans they don't have in attendance as well.
