I'm dissapointed with Rafa tonight.

Started off slowly and grew as we had to into a game which was the high point of our season. Had most of the possession second half which Chelsea were happy with considering we were gving it to Zenden all night.

 

I have to say I'm dissapointed. Since when was Zenden, Zidane? He had more of the game than anyone else out there and did zero with it. The chelsea fans were cheering him when he got the ball and then knew the score. They doubled up on Gerrard knowing Zenden couldn't cross his f***ing legs regardless of being marked or not.

 

This game could have been going on till the next game and we still would not have scored.

Zenden had more of the ball and more time than I ever remember seeing anyone have and yet produced zero all game. Not one f***ing cross. The 3 times Riise overlapped him and whipped in a ball we looked dangerous. Other than that Chelsea coasted it.

I think our play in the last few games led up to tonight. We haven't had to go full out for weeks now and it showed. Too many were in first gear and never got out of it. Zenden and Kuyt stayed on for way too long. We should have had Pennant or Gonzalez on at the same time as Crouch. Why bring Crouch on without anyone to cross it to him.

What's wrong with what I said? Do you really think when we were attacking and looking good all second half that putting anyone n the left that could cause a problem would be a bad idea?

Zenden was f***ing poison, had about ten crossing chances and didn't get one decent ball in. Pennant on the left would've been a better option I think, if not from the start then certainly in the second half when it was clear Zenden was stinking the place out.

Clueless, yes Zenden isn't good enough but he was nowhere near the worst player out there, could pick three or four worse. Gerrards passing was s****, get over it Zenden isn't good enough for us but to pick on him when half the other players bottled it is a f***ing joke.

No I hadn't, Gerrard as Gerrard does chased the game as it was avoiding him. Chelsea doubled up on him all game so he had to go hunting for the ball. Why could Chelsea Double tagg him? Because on the other side (the side which had more space than you'll ever see) was Zenden who couldn''t make use of it all night hense Gerrard came into the middle and unfortunatly squeezed the game into frustration for the team and himself, often putting Mash in a tight spot to with the close marking he dragged with him.

 

Defending we were balanced but going forward we were so lob sided it was never going to happen without a change hense the reason I peeved as I thought with a change we could have nicked a goal off them .

I thought our left side really let us down. Riise was brutal too, he gave it away nearly every time he got it, he knocks it long way too much. I don't know what's wrong with him this season, but he looks a shadow of his former self.

How can people criticise Alonso? We completely dominated the middle of the pitch for pretty much the whole game, and Alonso had loads of the ball, I thought that along Gerrard, he was our best player.

 

Zenden on the other hand is desperate. He can't pass, he can't control the ball, he can't beat a man, he wimps out of tackes, and as Pat warned us a long time ago, he can't cross the ball. He crosses the ball like I do on a Sunday, hope to get it off the ground and near the box. How is an attacker going to score from such a weak cross.

Agreed, Zendon was aweful. Got on the ball more than anyone, but failed to create anything.

I thought Arbeloa had a shocker too. Been talking about how well he's been settling in recently, then he goes and plays like he did today.

Rafa knows (like we all do) what happens when Gerrard plays on the right. Gerrard himself has said that when he starts from the right, providing he does his defensive stuff, he has carte blanche from the manager to go where he wants. If you don't subscribe to Gerrard in the middle, fair enough, but you can't then complain if he fails to dust his toes on the chalk line.

Sorry but people are complaining about the left hand side, we had f*** all of anything on the right. Sorry but Gerrard doing what he wants does not cut the ice with me, time after time we had clear space on the right and he wasn't there, either he plays there or we play someone who does.

 

Manager f***ed up, Gerrard should have been there as he had the beating of Cole everytime. Yet we all blame Zenden.

THATS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED ALL NIGHT. It's why I can't understand why we didn't change it. Bellamy could have gone out there for the last 20 with Crouch and Kuyt feeding off his pace and crosses. f***it he kept Shearer in the game at least a year longer than he deserved.

 

Bellamy couldn't use his pace as Chelsea just sat back so why not use him out wide where he was great for both Blackburn and Newcastle?
