Huyton_Red Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Sorry but I feel sick thinking about it already We have not even got through the semis yet, we still have to beat PSV and then play chelsea over two legs but the thought of a Utd v Liverpool european cup final makes me f'ckin ill It would be to much to bare, I would be ill for a month in the run up to it, if we won it would be f'ckin brilliant but if we got beat I think I would kill myself. I had convinced myself it would be impossible for it to happen, but now, f'ck me its a serious possibility We are not meant to play the mancs in european cup finals, there will be carnage in every airport, hotel, bar, rail station, motorway service station from here to Athens. They are meant to be carnivals, not european wide riots Hopefully, Bayern or milan will do them in the semi final, because everyones greatest dream or worst nightmare could be 6 weeks away
berdoing Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Imagine if it's Chelsea v United - there'd be nobody left in London on the day of the final!
kacangpool Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Imagine if it's Chelsea v United - there'd be nobody left in London on the day of the final! It could be worst: It could be PSV v United.
ManxRed Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 OK, hands up if anyone else other than me (and I'm a born worrier) is now thinking "PSV have absolutely nothing whatsoever to lose, what if they come out of the blocks at 200mph and score 2 goals before half time"?? How much toilet roll will I get through before full time thinking of the humiliation of us not going through on a 3-0 1st leg lead after the two teams I hate most (and undoubtedly the two teams who would happily pour the most scorn and ridicule onto us at the first opportunity they got) managed to overturn dodgy first leg scores?? I know I'm being overly pessimistic, but it doesn't bear thinking about...
smithdown Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 My best mate is a manc. I'm best man at his wedding next year and organising stag do's this summer. If we play them in the Final then those arrangements will most likely have to change.

RafaShanks Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Feck me. These threads are getting silly. It's a possibility, but well off at the moment. Lets concentrate on the Chavs first which will be tough, providing there are no feck ups tonight.
ManxRed Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Lets concentrate on the Chavs first which will be tough, providing there are no feck ups tonight. Erm, with all due respect, I think we should concentrate on PSV first.
John am Rhein Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 (edited) Erm, with all due respect, I think we should concentrate on PSV first. I'll leave that to Benitez and the players. [del]Who's on a single booking before tonight?[/del] That's a key consideration, IMO. Sorry, I'll rephrase that: who is one booking away from a suspension tonight? Leo No.8 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 There's too much at stake playing United in the CL final for sure, Chelsea in the semi is bad enough. Can you imagine us singing 'we won it six times, against the Mancs, we won it six times' after having beaten them in the final though? The potential highs and lows are positively giddy...
ManxRed Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Lets concentrate on the Chavs first which will be tough, providing there are no feck ups tonight. Yeah, I saw that, but I'm not even going to think about the chavs until we (hopefully) finish off the job tonight!
beejay Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I'll leave that to Benitez and the players. [del]Who's on a single booking before tonight?[/del] That's a key consideration, IMO. Sorry, I'll rephrase that: who is one booking away from a suspension tonight? Reina has 1 yellow card!! Got this horrible feeling Rafa may play Dudek tonight and last time that happened Arsenal scored 9 goals in 11 attempts as we went out of 2 cups in a week at Anfield!!
smithdown Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Choose your friend wisely next time, mate. He only started going the match when he was about 20 - in 1990 - the tw*t. That'll come up in the speech for a feckin kickoff. His birds a blue as well. Horrible scene.
ManxRed Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I'm still feeling anxious about tonight. Still I'd rather be 3-0 up than... erm.... 5-0 up. No. Hang on, how does it work again?
Huyton_Red Posted April 11, 2007 Author Posted April 11, 2007 I'd worry about it when we get there. I want to worry about it now if thats ok with you like Dont feel like talking about whether we will go through to the semi's against PSV with us already 3-0 Leave the soundbites to the players and manager and let the fans just talk about footy and what may/may not happen. Thats what a forum is for, we are not the f'ckin manager And this is not just aimed at you, this is aimed at all the posters who have trotted the 'lets wait till we beat PSV/Chelsea' rubbish on this thread We have a potential manc/liverpool final here, a monu-f'ckin-mental occurence in the life of a liverpool/manc fan and it more than warrants discussion without people trying to be psuedo f'ckin liverpool managers talking about taking 'one game at a time'
johngibo YPC Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Reina has 1 yellow card!! Got this horrible feeling Rafa may play Dudek tonight and last time that happened Arsenal scored 9 goals in 11 attempts as we went out of 2 cups in a week at Anfield!! Yes but Reina can avoid getting booked easier than others
John am Rhein Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Reina has 1 yellow card!! Got this horrible feeling Rafa may play Dudek tonight and last time that happened Arsenal scored 9 goals in 11 attempts as we went out of 2 cups in a week at Anfield!! Can't see that happening. Reina's unlikely to be booked again. But fro some of the others we ought to be thinking now do we want them to play in the 1st leg vs Chelsea or the second leg vs Chelsea. i.e. if we want them in the 2nd leg then get the booking out of the way tonight. Since we apparently play the 2nd leg at Anfield, this is probably less of a consideration than had it been the other way round.
johngibo YPC Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Erm, with all due respect, I think we should concentrate on PSV first. Did you hear them at the end of the Chelsea game. "there will definetly be an English team in the Champions League final". I was screaming at him to shut the f*** up!!

I was screaming at him to shut the f*** up!! Dead right. "Champions league" my a***! It's the European Cup! There will definitely be an English team in the European Cup final.
